Captain would be amazing, and while I doubt Crash and Spyro would both get in, Spyro could be pretty hype alongside Crash.

So how much do you wanna bet people will still complain that paying 19.99 for online is "to much" compared to them probably paying 59.99 for Microsoft and Sonys Online?

Speaking from experience, PS Plus is a much better value proposition because you actually get free modern games as part of the service, as well as big discounts on some fairly recent games. You can also still play online for free in certain games (basically ones that don't use Sony's servers from what I know).

I almost regretted buying a year subscription of PS Plus for Dissidia NT because that particular game was a let down. But the free games alone are worth it. They had Rayman Legends on PS4 this month for free, for example. Meanwhile, Switch owners are stuck paying specifically for this game. I know they also had the Ratchet & Clank remake on there at one point. Those two games alone are worth more than the PS Plus 1-year subscription to buy them both normally.

The issue at this point isn't paying for online. Nintendo hasn't got the best track record with online services so asking us to pay when they are fairly unproven, and without offering much to sweeten the deal, isn't gonna make people want to start paying to play online. It's too little, too late.
