I've finally started to play Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones (long overdue, I know, but I haven't had the time to play it until now), and so far, it's a pretty fun ride! I'm about to start Chapter 4, and the story is overall enjoyable thus far. The opening chapters are definitely much better than Fates (the name of the continent and its kingdoms are introduced from the get-go for one), and while I haven't unlocked any support conversations yet, there isn't a character I dislike yet. Currently, Garcia and Ross are definitely the standouts for me because of their tragic backstory.
And dear lord, Seth is as overpowered as they say. He's a cool character, but I don't want to use him constantly right now because I want to grind up a few other units to give them a chance. Not counting Seth, some units that have been doing the best for me thus far are Garcia, Franz, and Gilliam. Colm might be shaping up to be a great unit too. That dude literally dodged every attack in his recruitment chapter, and his thief-skills will come in handy.
Any units I should consider investing in the long run? I've heard Ross is amazing later in the game, but you need to grind him up first, so I managed to raise him up two levels in Chapter 3. Should I still invest in him? I'm also wondering if Vanessa and Neimi will be worth raising in the long run, or should they just be benched?
I'm aiming to beat Sacred Stones before Echoes comes out next week. With Mario Kart 8 Deluxe also pre-occupying my time, it seems like I'll have two games to alternate back-and-forth with for these next few days.
