Some of those features were in the original, like the Mages consuming health. So they certainly are taking original features to heart. Hopefully though, it won't be a heavy hit on the game compared to Shadow Dragon. That being said, by what it means with the no supports in battle, I'm assuming that's talking about the Pair-Up system. Cause I have doubts about them removing supports when even the remakes of Marth's games had supports. At the very least, Supports are probably not as oriented towards S-ranks compared to past titles.

If I'm rembering correctly, Superbot (the developers) wanted to get the original Dante, but Capcom wouldn't play ball. Even as an alternate costume.

A similar situation happened with Cole MacGrath, there was originally a neutral Cole that, depending on your playstyle, would turn into either Good or Evil Cole as you played the match. But Sucker Punch thought it would be best to split them into two characters.

It's stuff like this that makes really want Sony to take another go at PlayStation All-Stars. I was a big fan of the first game and the fact we may not get a sequel saddens me.

Can't blame you. I too really enjoy Sidon's character.

He even tells you that you're his best friend when you talk to him after that congratulatory ceremony over the reclaiming of Van Ruta.

I haven't reached the Gerudo region yet, but I'm liking Urbosa because of that tough big sister dynamic she has, not to mention she even cares for Zelda like a sister.

I know what fame and attention can do, but I'd like to believe stress can also be a big factor. I mean, in his Q&A, he did mention about being tired of the propaganda or something like that and felt like he had to get his thoughts out of his system. I'm aware of what fame and attention can do to a person's Ego, but add stress to the mix and you have a dreadful mix of ego and spitefulness, especially when getting at something for ticking you and not feeling any remorse out of spite. I'm not being sympathetic for Jon's thoughts, but considering this is the Internet where the self-mentality is very strong and very easy to get stressful and lash out over other people's conflicting thoughts....well, anything is possible.
I guess all I can hope is that Humble/Humility pushes out Ego out at some point and Jon rethinks his thoughts/views. Cause Youtubers are people still. And people can change. And I am one who believes that popularity and ego can never stop a person from changing. When will it happen? Only the future knows...

That is true, they were open to the idea of Lara.

The creators of Oddworld wanted Abe in the game as well. In fact, there's even a rumor that he was planned, but cancelled along with Dart.

Another thing about PlayStation All-Stars.

The idea of mashing up two franchises into one stage is absolutely brilliant. Really feels like the game is one giant crossover. Seeing Qwark get eaten by a Hydra or Hades being beaten by Patapons is charming as all hell.

I actually heard that one too. And to be honest, it doesn't sound out of the question. That being said, for Cloud, I heard that apparently, Sony did ask for Cloud, but Square wanted Lightning instead. And I wouldn't be surprised at that either, considering their hard-on for Lightning at the time.
But either way, alot of Sony's cast in general was easily advertisement above legacy and the 3rd Parties were no exception, with the only good one being Heihachi and arguably Isaac Clarke. Sure they added Dante too, but even when Sony had Old Dante prepared and all, Capcom wanted the heavily criticized New Dante and......yeah. And now the rest of the cast:
Big Daddy - There was nothing wrong about the character or Bioshock. But Bioshock started as an Xbox exclusive. Big Daddy is far from a Playstation All-Star.
Raiden - Was easily advertisement for Metal Gear Rising and chosen over the far-more wanted Solid Snake.
Isaac Clarke - Once again, nothing wrong with the character or the series and even has the benefit of not starting as a Microsoft exclusive. So the only thing arguable is whether or not he's a better All-Star choice compared to some other Playstation Icons.

Either way, it's rather amazing how you look at this and than look at Smash Bros. and you can see the big difference between them. Heck, it's hugely ironic how Smash Bros. of all things managed to get Snake, Cloud & Bayonetta before Playstation All-Stars. Sonic, Megaman, Pac-Man and Ryu make total sense, yet you look at Snake, Cloud and Bayonetta and you're like, "How?" And all because one man was like, "Hey, these characters are cool and people really like them. Let's bring them in." Sakurai has an attitude that no fan logic can ever uncover and that's what we love about him.
