I thought it was alright.
The episode made it clear from the start she was betraying them which was sort of dumb.
However her becoming so evil at the end was pretty cool and the garnet ending was funny. It at least gave lapis development which is nice.
I'm sure not blindly trusting people will play a role in the story soon though. I also wonder if they had saved the rubies before( assuming they haven't) would that have change this episode? Maybe they could have convinced them to join with them by saying homeworld clearly didn't care for them by leaving them in space.
It also be neat to see the rubies become good or at least neutral/respect the gems in the end. It be cool to have the rubies on their side.
Also with all this teasing, I think we'll get an new ark where we get a new gem on the team. Which I hope happens.
