Well guys; while you'll be enjoying your Switches and BOTW, I'll have to sit around and wait to be able to even purchase both. Then again, not pre-ordering the console and the game is something I am at fault for. >_<

Maybe it will be possible to buy the Switch in public stores at an increased chance within the next couple of weeks? Can anyone confirm this?

Yeah... never thought I'd see the day where the Pokémon anime decided to go the JoJo route. That's not a bad thing in my opinion, it's just rather interesting and something I would of never seen coming after 20+ years of Pokémon.

Happy Nintendo Switch day! While you finally get to play Breath of the Wild on the system, I'll continue my tradition of not getting video game systems at launch. I still have to get the most out of my Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, so that's something I can look forward to.

I'll get the system eventually... but when exactly? I don't know. Maybe later in the year... or maybe in two years from now, when the inevitable New Nintendo Switch releases.

But anyways, enjoy your new systems, and don't forget to Switch and Play.

Been playing BotW for around 6 hours now. Took a break to check some of the notifications on the Switch. The one about the paid online service mentions that the NES and SNES games you get each month will have online multiplayer!

If VC on the Switch really does end up having online multiplayer, that would be amazing. If only I'd pay to subscribe...

I am questioning if its worth getting up early just to go down there and purchase one or wait a while before considering it. I do hear most people try not to buy at launch, but that's just me.

It helps that I've saved up enough in the mean time to get the Wii U version of Breath of the Wild later today. And I found out just a few hours ago that apparently it does support off-TV play, which is a godsend with the issues I've had with my eyes lately.

Or it's because Aonuma didn't want the gamepad to mess with the player as he sees it like a driving navigation device on your lap when driving.
Not like the dead console was going to sell well, you can pretty much only get second hand Wii Us now in the Netherlands. And it's 10 euros cheaper than the Switch version and you yourself said it looked better than the Switch version so that's arguably an edge too

ran through bomberman on easy mode to find out how much the characters costed so heres my review

first off characters cost 5000 a pop, granted having only beaten it on easy mode there may be more characters(plus i didnt 3 star any stages) and their prices could be much bigger (theres 5 post story and given something in the story im willing to guess theres at least 1 more character)

story wise theres 40 normal stages 5 rival fights where you fight a dastardly bomber and 7 boss fights, and 3 difficulties and will be the fastest way to earn Gems(the in game currency) as for the story itself its 90's cheese and you can easily see some of the things coming a mile away but it serves its purpose with 3 cutscenes per world (start, pre rival, and post boss fight) as for level require ments each world has a unique mission along side defeat all enemies(well except the last normal world which is just a harder version of the first worlds special mission) ranging from find the hidden keys to finding civillians and takeing them to a safe zone

as for online the connection was good with no lag for the match i played, and you can set it to be in one of 4 connection settings
from every where in the world, your country & countries close by, your country and only good connections

as for stages i havent bought any yet but there are infact 12 normal stages and i assume when you buy the 4 normal stages in the shop you get the ability to buy their special versions

as for non ranked battle mode (which is a first to 2 wins affair with revenge karts on) you can turn off a multitude of things and more importantly make the camera fixed like old school bomberman games

and finally comsetic items each one starts out at 500 a piece and after you buy one a alt color of it becomes available at an icnreased price(750 for color 2) i tested this out buy buying a white electric guitar, the second color being black

all in all id say it was worth my money but your millage may vary but i give this game a solid 7.7/10

the music is only okay and serves its purpose the plot its fairly laughable and the vocie actors while i personally like them tend to be a bit on the flat side, plus i just straight up dont like the 4th world LaLaland..because its an ice world with bottomless pits

now if youll excuse me i need to **** post wth my switch some more

Lyn dying in the Prologue to the very first Brigand hitting her twice. Lungdren making her a new butthole after her grand speech and missing with her Mani Katti. Lyn and Myrmidons/Samurai in general have pretty much traumatized my FE experience. Her unmarried ending just made things worse. Into the feather grinder she goes if I get her in FEH.

On the other side, tanky Eliwood with higher defenses than even Hector and Oswin with maxed out speed. Glorious.

@ BotW: It has great reviews but the game has plenty of issues from what I've seen so far. The spoiled stuff is already resulting in some...special fanart of Link and a certain character will become quite popular once more people get to see her.

The story is whack and so is Ganon. The fact that there's no BotW versions of Ganondorf and Sheik could lead Sakurai to use the TP designs again or...switching things up and update them to their HW designs. This is SS all over again.

Wow, alright, I'm gonna have to call bull**** because that whole prologue is scripted so the result will always be the same: Lyn will dodge the attacks, crit at Batta and even get the same level up.
Unless you were playing on Hard Mode but you'd have to have already played Lyn's Mode before so that wouldn't count as a first impression

I'm still excited for it.

I rarely get indie games but this year is exceptional: I'm going to get Yooka-Laylee, Snake Pass, and the Specter of Torment campaign for Shovel Knight.

I've just been grinding for now. My party is at level 34, so getting the Valkyrie and Red Mage asterisks was a cinch.

About the story, it just keeps getting darker and darker.
I really appreciate the voice-acting now. Olivia's cutscene actually moved me to tears.

Also, I've noticed the game is rather brilliantly designed to make sure you never get frustrated.

• Are you inside a dungeon and low on health and MP? Set encounter rate to -100% and use teleport stones.
• Want to grind for money or exp? Set encounter rate to +100%.
• If you solve the puzzles in a dungeon and go out and return, they don't reset, saving you time too.

I'm impressed.

Yeah, you're really just the most unlucky FE player in existence because even in Hard Mode, Lyn is at a 45% dodge chabce before True Hit and she has more than enough Skl and Spd to take at least one hit from Lundgren and counter back
Like, I've heard and seen stories of Fir the Axe Magnet but never to all of someone's Myrmidon
