I will possibly never fully respect K. Rool again thanks to his rabid fans on SmashFAQs shutting down anything and everything else. Ridley took a significant dent, but evened out because his opposition was equally insane. K. Rool, though. . .yeah he didn't have any counteragent so that was enough to sour me.

Metroid is in a position where it currently only has two characters (well, two distinct versions of one character anyway), yet it's arguably about as, if not less, likely to get a newcomer as The Legend of Zelda, a series that currently has five characters. And the chances of the latter series getting a newcomer are low in my opinion.

Playable DK representation is very limited as well, but a newcomer from that series wouldn't be as surprising as the aforementioned Metroid and Zelda.
