Is that hard to do by the way? Just want to find out how long it'd take for a n00b like me. I can look up the materials I need for the set up (not settling for more than $600.00 for now) and can YT videos on how to make my own but well... anyone here build their own personal gaming PC before? Would like to hear tips :p
I built my current PC. It's not so bad, most a matter of just plugging everything into the right socket. Scariest thing is putting in the CPU since they're heavier than they look and you have to use a lot of strength to put the retention arm into place. but otherwise it's not so bad.

Also probably worth noting that I hated the one electrical engineering class I took in college, but found building a PC doable.

If you're on a super tight budget you might want to look into buying used hardware.

Right now, all I need to make Tora/Poppi a opponent to be respected is the ability to cancel arts into each others. Because, while I wouldn't say taking the ability to survive instant death first a bad idea. In the long run, not able to cancel arts into arts while every characters can do it is kinda tiring.

But once I get that, no.4 will have some competition.

You all probably know this, but ZeRo is retiring
Read through his reasoning.

Honestly, good on him.

https://pcpartpicker.com/guide/T3Xscf/entry-level-amd-gaming-build

CPU is listed slightly weaker than DBZF's recommended but can Turbo to 3.4 Ghz. Doubt it'll have an issue, even using stock cooling. GPU smokes those specs and that's far more important.

Whole build is approximately $550 as of this writing.

Is there a Switch accessory that allows you to use a USB controller while in handheld mode?

Don't need one right now but interested.

Curse college for forcing me to need mobility.

And also college for forcing my budget to be approximately $0.00
Ah. Yep, that's kind of a **** spot.

Just playing at home/dorm is a sensible call but nothing fixes a college-level budget.

Dem price ranges...

I cringed just looking at it.
Definitely. PC's almost always the most expensive option for gaming. Even a brand new Xbox One X is $50 less than that budget build.

It's versatile as hell and generally cheaper to upgrade long-term, but best believe your wallet's still gonna feel it.

Wait...

If you're on an iPhone, yes.

If you're not, you can use Google Play cards.

Usually when I log into Smashboards I’ve forgotten what I posted last so notifications are always a surprise.

If I get a bunch of likes, I know I did a good post.

If I get no likes, a bunch of replies, and a DM from a mod, I know I did a REALLY good post.
Ah! A good post, but could be better.

Today for the first time I played Yume Nikki and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s Shine Thief mode.

One was an impenetrable dream world that had no affordances, was only slightly affected by my input, and was impossible to understand.

The other was Yume Nikki.

Again, if you really want to build a gaming PC but have a super tight budget, used hardware is the way to go. Craigslist, eBay, whatever.

Try checking out RandomGaminginHD or LinusTechTips's Scrapyard Wars series on YouTube. The latter is more for entertainment than anything, but it goes to show you can build pretty decent computers on a budget...even if whatever you buy might end up having a crack pipe in it occasionally.

My observations on video games are valuable and meaningful.

There was a problem fetching the tweet

Here's an interesting question for you all.

What's one popular piece of media you've never watched or played but everyone else has?

For me, I've never seen much of DBZ or JoJo.
For video games, Metroid, Animal Crossing, and Ace Attorney come to mind. They all look like good games, but they don't really catch my attention to the point I want to play them. I'm also generally not interested in playing most rated M games & most common shooters. Again, most of them don't really interest me, though I might watch its bits of gameplay every now and then if my curiosity peaks me. Other than that, they're not the kind of games I'd want to pick and play for myself.

As for general media, I've never watched most popular TV shows/movies nowadays like Game of Thrones and Hunger Games. Then again, I rarely watch TV nowadays, and if I do, it's usually for something like a good documentary or an American Dad episode.

For anime, I've never watched or even looked much into Bleach, Jojo, most of Dragon Ball (I watched/liked it when I was younger, but I lost interest in it as time went on), and One Piece. Currently, I don't have an interest watching any of them (especially the last one due to the massive numbers of chapters/episodes I need to read/watch to catch up). Other popular anime I can think of that I haven't watched but others have include Kill La Kill, Angel Beats, K-on, MHA, and FMA:B (although the last two are currently on my backlog for animes that I want to watch soon).

There are times when I wish the Weapon Refinery could be used to upgrade regular versions into +versions without having to use feathers to make a 5*character to get +versions. I know we got fortunate with Slaying weapons, Armorsmashers and Keen Wolf Tomes, but still....some of the non-+ weapons some of my characters have drive me nuts partially cause they feel incomplete.
There's also the fact that I hope at some point, they give us something to allow us to use the big EXP Crystals as a currency. Cause I have so many of them and they are so easy to get.

Not to mention making more weapons able to be refined.

I really want my Male Robin to refine his Blarraven+ :urg:

I still haven’t played Dark Souls! I feel like it’d be right up my alley but also I’m scared

Killing any kind of elephants is illegal, whoever did that should be prosecuted and pay a lot of money.

Ditto on JoJo. Seen a fair amount of DBZ but only recall DBZA.

Watched very little anime at all in the last 5 years. Only thing I remember bingeing vaguely recently is One Punch Man.

Video game-wise...where to begin. There's plenty of stuff I've owned but never played. Even more I don't own.

But the highlights of Red's Never Played List probably include:

- Super Mario Odyssey
- Assassin's Creed
- Dark Souls
- Mass Effect
- Every FPS made after 2007, except Overwatch
I heard a lot of people like the new Doom, maybe try that out. I want to at a later time when I'm finished catching up on some games I'm still playing.

Rpgs are boring to watch speedruns for.
Yeah usually. I saw this one Battle Network one that was pretty okay. Probably because the combat system is more involved than most other turn based games.

I never saw one for the Mario and Luigi games though. And the first one has a jank co-op mode if you play on a gameboy player.

Quick question, what kind of character designs do you guys like?

I tend to prefer it when characters have really readable looks without too many bells and whistles. But I know some others would like complex looking characters.
