The possible reason why she might not be a Free unit might come from the possibility that the Gunthra related to the Fjorm we know might have been killed by Surtr and that the Gunthra we summon is either her moments before her death or a possible alternate one who survived.

Though I'm not too worried about the games content. Since the arcade and story are at least robust if nothing else.

As far as characters, Videl, Roshi, Kid Goku, and Bardock would be cool. Because at this point, all of the other core Z-Fighters are already in. Twice in fact of for Goku, Vegeta and Gohan. I wouldn't be surprised if Broly, Cooler, Kefla or Jiren(as much as he hasn't shown too much, I feel people would be hype to see him) were in too. The latter two likely more than a few months in. Though for a personal choice, Janemba would be in place of Jiren. Since the others should have a couple of gimmicks and moves of their own.

Vegito would sick, though either him or Gogeta should be in the game's equivalent of Super Turbo/XL/Dark Resurrection/Revalator ect. They'd be great poster boys for it.

Granted with Jiren, his whole thing is no-selling standing there...MENACINGLY!!! So I have no idea how he'd be exciting to play.

Or, they just say **** it and add UI Goku and SS4 Goku. The game's DLC fighters is an interesting topic to think about.

I'm kinda conflicted on Gogeta because I'm the weirdo who prefers Super Gogeta over SSJ4. His SSJ4 design has never jived with me and I much prefer Stardust Breaker as a finishing move over 100X Big Bang Kamehameha. In fact, SSJ4 Gogeta has to be my least favorite design out of the 4s outside of SSJ4 Gohan, I hate the brown fur and the orange/red hair is just too much. Outside of that his role in GT was just lame, I much preferred the ultra serious characterization from Fusion Reborn over just Vegito again.

So for that alone I would definitely take both SSJ4 Goku and Vegeta over SSJ4 Gogeta, but I know that I fall under the minority plus I don't think people react well to MORE Gokus and Vegetas in the roster, no matter how different they may look or play.

Outside of them, I would also love Super Janemba, Bardock and Merged Zamasu. Jiren is too much of a blank slate atm for me to want him playable, same for UI Goku. Vegito Blue would be pretty cool as would be Videl or Chi Chi.

A DB-era Kid Goku and even Roshi would be nice too, but the question is if Kid Goku would have Oozaru in some sort of manner.

How about the fact that there's only mostly been Awakening/Fates Seasonals and the fact that we only have 2 Seasonal characters who aren't from Awakening or Fates? And they are Lyn, who is the most popular Female character, and Caeda, who isn't too popular, but has significance because she's the First FE Protagonist's wife and even got a Seasonal before her husband, who is often considered one of the main faces of the series.

Rin has only three (with Ishtar and Ereshkigal being quite different characters), Shirou only 2 (Muramasa is only NPC) and Sakura none being only herself as Parvati (BB, Melt and Lip are based on her and thus have her face but are completely separate entities).

Arthuria/Artoria/Arturia/whatever that isn't Altria has around 9 variations in game, 10 when counting Arthur.

If anyone else should have been pointed out would be Cu with 4 variations or Elizabeth with the same number (6 if you count her mecha clones but they are separate entities and characters as much as Metal Sonic so I don't).

I think Cupid has been taken by Bride Cordelia(her weapon is "Cupid's Arrow"). Also, it should be either Lon'qu or Gregor who gets to be Cupid. Gregor for his spendid love skills and his advice for Cordelia and Lon'qu for all dramatic irony and just to listen to him pouting.

But yeah, it would be pretty nice to see some non-Awakening/Fates Seasonals. I mean, Marth, Ike, Roy and Hector need to at least get one Seasonal(Groom Banner to go with Bride Banner). We also need to get a Demon Fighter Banner to go with Bride Banner and Dancer Banner, with one character wielding a Sword, one wielding an Axe, one wielding a Tome and one wielding a Dagger.

I mean, I'm not through Conquest yet but I'm enjoying pretty much everyone except Peri being egh. No one else is really jumping out at me for being bad. Even Camilla is entertaining sometimes.

That said, I also like a lot of Hoshido, but there is a big difference.

I dislike Ryoma a lot.

Xander isn't perfect but one thing Ryoma does ticks me off because it erases Corrin's main conflict of the game for what comes off as a personal power struggle.

Which part of him are we talking about? Some of the things he does in Conquest? When in Birthright, he was willing to offer food and supplies for the Nohrians after he learned of it's issues? Or just in the general sense on how Birthright is more against an evil tyrant compared to Conquest's beginning in which Corrin tries to convince the Nohrians that violence doesn't need to be the solution and he's more in a battle of inner conflict rather than outer conflict?

Regardless, I will admit that Hoshido should have had at least one evil/traitorous character. Not like that ninja character who wants to make his own kingdom bigger than either Hoshido or Nohr, but rather you have Yukimura as the one adviser and then you have a 2nd adviser who is scheming and whatnot.
Like in some of the Hoshidan supports, there are mentions of higher-ups scheming against Ryoma. So it's rather disheartening that there isn't a single major Hoshidan character who is trying to hurt your Hoshidan siblings, take advantage of what happened to Ryoma and Takumi or even to Mikoto early in Birthright or in general. It's mostly just Iago trying to mess with the group.

But now it's come out that Beerus will be one of those playable characters.

I have been completely distracted from every other game I could be playing this week because I got Skyrim as a gift and ended up getting hooked trying it out.

I am now having the problem of wanting to incessantly chatter about a game everyone else already played ages ago.

Yeah, I perfer SS1 Gogeta over SS4, particularly because of him having a unique finisher. But I think Vegito is better than both in terms of design and even moveset potential. It's just that a lot of people also like Gotega. I did kind of like SS4 Gohan's design in some of those games though, but SS4 is pretty hit and miss for me as whole(as is blue, since only Goku looks okay in it). Merged Zamasu could pull off extra tricks, but might be redundant to some extent with Goku Black already teaming up with Zamasu in his move set. But the Gargos style Portal punches certainly makes for a good argument. Though Janemba could potentially do something similar.

Obviously, the Kid Goku I'm talking about would have to be DB-era, GT Goku would be kind of redundant, what with the lack of the Power Pole and all. Oozaru would neat, but I wonder if they'll bother to model that. That said, Roshi could technically be from Super as well, it wouldn't matter too much in terms of special moves since many of his iconic tools were used in both. But hey, his normals would likely be manga panels rather then the stuff we've seen in Super. If he isn't already buff, then beefing up would be a good install super.

I'd also be happy with Great Saiyaman, since in the games he's already been in, he plays differently from other Gohans. Having his SRK/Power Dunk and Cannon Drill(Justice Punch/Kick basically)from the Budokai series should be fine. And a lot of other games give him a divekick too. He's got a finger beam too. Not sure if there's a 3rd Vegeta that works as well as Kid Goku and Saiyaman does for Goku and Gohan.

Kefla is like Gotenks to me. Why bother with two lesser fighters when you can take their fusion that actually has a unique attack or two? Seems like the best choice. Videl and Cooler would also be sick, Pan could be okay I guess. Raditz would be an interesting choice, if only because he really just had one fight. Zarbon could have a transformation/install gimmick too.

And the artbook is better than the EO2U one, still not as good as the full thing in Japan but still an improvement, since it doesn't look like a mess they threw together in 3 minutes

IIRC the only reason he kept it a secret was because Sumeragi and Mikoto wanted it to be kept that way, for whatever reason, and he didn't want to disrespect their wishes.

Oh that. Yeah......I guess I didn't exactly see it as a big deal on Ryoma's part and more a fault of the developers. Like.....when you actually have this conversation in the game before you S-Support Hinoka...

Yeah, there is actually a non S-Support that brings up the fact that the siblings aren't related to Mikoto and making it sound obvious that Corrin isn't related as well. This support would've been much nicer had Hinoka's S-support not try to bring up the sibling thing as some big revelation. Like......you have a B-support that brings up the fact that the siblings aren't related to Mikoto, and by extension Corrin, as if it were common knowledge, yet the S-support proceeds to bring it back up as some big revelation. This really screams as a big mistake of the developers rather than the characters.

That being said, it still is a big deal. It definitely would've been much better had they either:
A - Get the point across early on that the siblings aren't your siblings, but they are still the family that was there for your mother and that choosing Hoshido isn't just fighting for the siblings, but for the mother who died protecting you.
Or B - Kept you from supporting the siblings until it's revealed that they aren't your true siblings. Heck, this could've been used as a conflicting emotion used by either one of the Nohrian characters or a evil Hoshidan character to try to spark a distrust in Corrin towards the Hoshidan siblings, which Corrin eventually comes to his conclusion that he's not just fighting for his siblings and for the fact that his mother died to protect him, but he's fighting against Garon to save his Nohrian siblings because they fear going against him and he fights cause no one else will.

Either way, I guess I never saw it as a big deal on Ryoma's part compared to how much I saw it as a big deal on the developers' part.
