Is it sad when my Switch library is already just as big as my Wii U library? And I was counting games I traded in from my Wii U (to get Switch games...lol)

Give it a couple weeks and it will be bigger with Rocket League and Xenoblade coming...
I'm in the same place. Heck, it's probably larger already.

And part of it is picking up types of games I either considered but ultimately didn't get on Wii U or never would have considered on the Wii U in the first place. . .

It's rapidly eating up every niche my Wii U even has for me except Smash Bros, and next year should knock out every 3DS niche except Kid Icarus while it's at it.

. . .If those two games were announced I might as well never have a reason to pick up another system again outside of nostalgia. And Smash will be, I'm sure.

Pretty much at the end stretch of Forces.

Sad to say the Eggman Empire levels were the most underwhelming of the bunch. The Avatar's is a 2D only Wispon spam fest, Modern's is short even compared to the rest of the levels and Classic's is just... A mess. The Infinite boss fight was also super disappointing given how he ended up being a reskin of the Metal Sonic boss fight not that long ago. They don't even use his theme here like what's the point.

I have no stake in this, but it's not like they didn't add comic book characters.

And hey, they got the lips right!

So. . .

Now I wonder if you just pick a specific one through gear or if they fight as a unit like Captain Commando/Ginyu.

The latter one seems like it'd be a mess on IJ's engine.

But NRS are probably crazy enough to try and make it work.

Yeah, I guess that's alright, at least it's actual comic book characters and not a third MK fighter.

Definitely a bit more interesting than Enchantress, since they could have used Raven or Zatanna again it would have been just fine.

R.I.P my boy Al "Spawn" Simmons though.

I played a bit of Mario Odyssey. I made Mario "The Plumber with no Name" by giving him a cowboy hat and poncho

Hm... let's see...

Wii U library:
Super Smash Bros for Wii U
Splatoon
Mario Kart 8
Pokken Tournament

And wait, I don't even own a Wii U, those are my brother's...

3DS:
Mario Kart 7
Pokemon Y
Super Mario Bros 2
Super Mario 3D Land
Animal Crossing New Leaf
Super Smash Bros for Nintendo 3DS
Pokemon Omega Ruby
Xenoblade Chronicles 3D
Bravely Default
Pokemon Moon

Nintendo Switch:
Cave Story +
Splatoon 2
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Shovel Knight Specter of Torment
Overcooked
Sonic Mania
Super Mario Odyssey

Yeah... mine already passed my brother's Wii U collection (he's still saving his cash to buy a Switch). Sooner or later my Switch collection will catch up to my 3DS collection since my Switch collection isn't even in its final form (Still waiting for XC2 and hoping to get DOOM, Night of Azure 2, Wolfenstein 2, Blaze Blue Cross Tag Battle, and Blade Strangers.)

So idk jack about DC.

What's the deal with Enchantress and why is she disliked?
She had a pretty underwhelming showing in Suicide Squad. And anything from that movie is probably best left forgotten. It's also why Deadshot is in the game to spam like crazy. And Joker's base design seems to envoke the film's design.

Again, if they wanted a female spell caster, Raven or Zatanna would have been better. Or maybe Circe if it had to be someone completely new.

ALL of it? Yes. But some things could use a reboot. I mean some series haven't had a new entry in over a decade. So if the the next F-Zero wanted to re-do the story or whatever, that'd be fine, as long as the gameplay was consistent with other entries.

I'd like to see some remasters of some things.

For some reason lately I've been thinking of a Gyromite remake. That game was fun when I was a wee lass. Though I didn't have ROB. But it was fun two players.

I caught up with the latest Sun and Moon anime episodes, and I just finished watching the latest one (a.k.a. the 1000th episode of the anime overall).

Honestly, the newest SM episode is my favorite episode in the series thus far, and it's a very emotional one too.

In case people aren't in the know what's been going on, it's currently the Aether arc. For those that want to catch up to speed with what's going on, here are the main points:

  • Ash is keeping an eye on Nebby.
  • They cut the narrator from the beginning and ending of the episodes. Instead, Lillie narrates the beginning by talking about the events of the past episode by writing in her diary.
  • Ash and Gladion had another battle. It was Type: Null vs Lycanroc. It's revealed that Ash's Lycanroc hates getting its mane dirtied, and when that happens, it fights out of pure rage.
  • Gladion tells Ash not to let Lillie see Type: Null.
  • We learn how Lillie developed her fear of touching Pokemon: when she was young, she was about to be abducted by Nihilego. Silvally came to the rescue, but when Silvally lunged forward to stop Nihilego and save Lillie, her mind blanked out, making her believe Silvally was going to attack her. Thus, her fear of touching Pokemon developed. Quite surprising for me when I first learned it: I thought Lusamine's abusiveness was the reason, but as we'll see in the next point, it's not the case.
  • Lusamine is not the abusive mother like she was in the games. She is a sweetheart to her children in the anime, and while I was initially skeptical how the writers would make her too kind if they went with that, I ended up liking her anime portrayal quite a bit. You can tell she really cares for her kids, yet the familial relationship is not perfect: she gets too busy with her job that she doesn't spend much time with them as they got older. This has led to Lillie becoming angry with Lusamine, and episode 48 does a good job showing the problems with their relationship. Although Lusamine is busy, she still longs to have time with the kids, as evident with the pictures on her office wall and the fact she tried to have Lillie's butler film Lillie eating breakfast.
  • Burnet is in the anime now. She's been helping the Aether Foundation with a few things, but nothing evil. She isn't married to Kukui in the anime, unlike the games. HOWEVER, episode 48 already shows some romance developing between the two. Calling it now that the two will get married at the end of the series!
  • We also see Burnet being a great mother figure to Lillie in one episode, and she also helps Lillie warm up to Lusamine when she reveals how many pictures Lusamine has of Lillie in her office.
  • Wicke is still as kind-hearted as she was in the games.
  • Faba on the other hand? The dude is still an antagonist, but unlike the games, he takes over as the main villain. He wants to capture Nebby, and the dude can be dirty to achieve his goals. Honestly, I think Faba's portrayal is way better in the anime than in the games. He was so underutilized in the plot that he was the most forgettable character of the SM cast, but in the anime, he leaves a much bigger impression with the amount of screen time he gets and the actions that he does, especially during the newest episode.
  • Team Rocket is currently working as Aether Foundation Employees. Faba offered them the job after telling them the Aether Foundation would provide better pay compared to just managing a donut stand all day. Team Rocket also want to capture Nebby, and while they are working under Faba, they want Nebby for different reasons: the good ol' "we capture the rare Pokemon, give it to the boss, and make a good buck!" They also mistake Debby for being Koffing's pre-evolution.
  • Nebby has a tendency to teleport people to locations that depend on areas that they are thinking about (i.e. when Kiawe was thinking about volcanoes, Nebby teleported Kiawe to a volcano for a brief second). Why am I mentioning this? Well...
  • At the end of episode 48, Lillie was thinking about Gladion, so Nebby playfully teleported Lillie to the cave where Gladion is... while Gladion has Type: Null out. When Lillie sees Type: Null, she is reminded of that time when Silvally saved her from Nihilego (or rather in her eyes, when Silvally attacked her). Thus, when she was teleported back with her friends, her fear of touching Pokemon returned to what it was at the beginning of the series: when she couldn't touch ANY Pokemon. DUN DUN DUN!

Now that we're caught up to speed, it's time to review the episode.

It's been a while since I last done a full blown review of a Pokemon anime episode, but today's episode left me feeling a whole variety of emotions throughout it, that I really want to talk about it.

Wall of text incoming, so I'll enclose it in a spoiler tag.

We begin the episode with Lillie writing in her diary about the events of the previous episode, but unlike how the past few episodes showed Lillie writing happily in her diary, she looks rather down. When Shiron, her Vulpix, tries to approach Lillie, she lunges back, cries, and apologizes.

The episode then cuts straight into some intense dialogue with Gladion and Ash. Gladion is FURIOUS at Ash for having Lillie drop by the cave out of nowhere. Ash tries to explain that it was Nebby's fault since it was the one that teleported Lillie. I can't blame Ash for trying to use that justification. Nebby just had to be too playful to teleport Lillie out of nowhere to the wrong location at the wrong time. Gladion ignores Ash's comment and he pins the blame on Ash for bringing Lillie to the location. Damn, Gladion is that angry!

Later that night, Gladion heads back to his motel room, although unlike the games, his motel is the one located in Route 2. The clerk tells him that someone from his (Gladion's) family has dropped by, so the clerk let the individual in. Gladion walks into his room with suspicious eyes. Who could that family member be? Lusamine? NOPE! It's Faba! The dialogue that unfolds between the two was absolute gold!

Faba: "Welcome home, young master." *says it in a friendly yet sinister tone*
Gladion: "Faba. I figured it was you."
Faba: "It's not like I expected a warm welcome. I'm quite thankful that you reacted exactly the way I imagined you would."

That is quite the evil line Faba delivered! It's dialogue like this that really helps Faba feel much more impactful not only as a character, but as a villain as well.

Gladion inquires Faba about his purpose for showing up. Faba explains that he found out Lillie has regained her memories regarding the past incident Nihilego and Silvally, so he is hunting her down so that he can erase her memories. Though he doesn't state why he wants to do so, it's possible he doesn't want Lillie telling on him to Lusamine. He then states his main intention for dropping by Gladion's motel room: he wants to take back Gladion's Type: Null, and apparently, Lusamine wants it too. Gladion, of course, refuses, and the two end up battling each other. Faba ends up gaining the upper hand by having his Hypno use Hypnosis on Gladion's Midnight Lycanroc to put it asleep, then has Alakazam ambush Gladion's Umbreon before it can unleash a Shadow Ball. Gladion tries to summon Type: Null next, but Faba then commands his Hypno to use Hypnosis on Gladion, putting Gladion to sleep and then successfully stealing Type: Null while it is still inside its Pokeball.

At school, Ash & the gang + Kukui and Burnet comfort Lillie and try to help her overcome her fear, and even Lillie is determine to do so. Shiron tries to jump onto Lillie, but Lillie panics. Burnet admits that they might have overdone it.

Later that day, Lillie and Ash walk in the Hau'oli streets. Lillie figures out that Ash talked to Gladion the night before based on her intuition, so she asks him about what happened. Ash tells Lillie about how Gladion was angry at him for what happened in the cave. What follows is this cute scene of Ash cheering Lillie up:

Lillie's blushing was adorable. Definitely a cute Ash x Lillie scene! and a moment for salty Amourshippers to rage.

Lillie then begins to feel nostalgic, remembering the bonds she had with her family. Nebby transports Lillie to those locations she, Gladion, and Lusamine been to when they were younger, and it is a really sweet scene!

The music and those moments of the three being one happy family really bring out the feels! Definitely one of the most emotional parts in the episode.

Meanwhile, Faba has returned to the Aether Paradise basement, and he stores Type:Null, still in its Pokeball, inside one of the drawers. We learn that he was the one that created Type: Null, mentioning how his "creation" turned out to be a failure.

Lillie and Ash are eventually teleported to the Aether Paradise basement because Lillie recalls walking around that facility when she was younger. Uh-oh, this isn't good! The three navigate the facility, and Faba learns they are around.

We then cut to Team Rocket, who are also stationed in the Aether Paradise basement. Upon seeing Ash and Lillie, they start scheming a plan to steal Nebby. They are then stopped by Faba. He orders them to capture Lillie so that he can erase her memories with his Hypno. Team Rocket refuse in the best way you could possibly imagine! No, I'm not joking. The way how they opposed Faba was awesome!

Fantastic dialogue coming from Team Rocket there. They really hammered down what an awful thing it is to completely erase one's memories out of evil intentions. I especially liked Meowth's line at the end: "We do righteous evil, not evil evil, meow!" Faba got smacked talk hard (not to mention he lost his subordinates)!

As Ash and Lillie navigate Aether Lab, they eventually run into Faba's Alakazam and Hypno. The two proceed to slam Ash, Pikachu, Nebby, and Shiron into a wall. Faba then arrives, grabs Lillie, and kidnaps her. Lillie screams for Ash, and he follows in pursuit.

We now see Gladion angrily confronting his mother over the incident with Faba. It turns out Lusamine never wanted Type: Null; that was a lie from Faba. The two end up storming the labs to search for Type: Null. During their search, Gladion calls out Lusamine for not noticing how Lillie was suppressing her memories regarding the whole ordeal with Nihilego and Silvally. In that same scene, we also learn that Lusamine has long wanted to see a UB since she was a child. It was because of that desire she didn't help Lillie the right way, nor did she see through Faba's lies when he tried to cover it up. That's interesting. We know Faba was present when Nihilego appeared back then. Was he trying to summon Nihilego on Lusamine's orders? This is something that I can definitely see being expanded on in the next few episodes. Another important takeaway from this scene is that Lusamine feels guilty when being called out. She apologizes, but Gladion tells her, "I'm not the one you should apologize to."

Faba brings Lillie to another part of the Aether basement, and he orders Hypno to being using Hypnosis to erase her memories. With Nebby's help, Ash and the other Pokemon teleport to Faba's location. Faba stops them by ordering Alakzam to use Psychic to slam them into a wall like ragdolls, then he keeps them paralyzed with Hypno's Psychic. Lillie shoves Faba away and tries to save Ash, but Faba's Alakazam brings her into the air with Psychic.

Gladion and Lusamine arrive on time to save Lillie. Gladion summons his Type: Null to fight Faba's Pokemon. Faba reminds Type: Null that he created it in an attempt to stop it from fighting. Lillie screams out of horror, remembering the Silvally incident from back then. Upon hearing Lillie's scream, Type: Null breaks its mask and evolves into Silvally. It lunges toward Alakazam to stop its Psychic attack. As Lillie looks up at Silvally, she remembers that incident from back then, only now we get the complete picture.

We learn that Lillie was lost inside the Aether basement that day, and she stumbled upon Faba doing an Ultra Wormhole experiment. Nihilego was summoned from the Ultra Wormhole (and Nihilego's cry sounds really creepy in the anime). The UB then took Lillie and tried to take her away through the Wormhole while Gladion and Faba could nothing about it. Silvally saved Lillie in the nick of time, and it even helped Lillie return to the ground safely by keeping her on its back. Back to the present, Lillie realizes Silvally saved her back then. Gladion then throws the Dark Memory Disc onto Silvally so that it can take out Faba's Pokemon with ease.

With Lillie free, Lusamine tearfully runs up and hugs her during the other emotional highlight of the episode, apologizing for everything that has happened. Gladion smiles from the distance. You can tell he's happy that Lillie is safe, and everything he's done up until now was to protect her. Faba manages to sneak away, though I found it odd that he managed to get away so easily. Lusamine, you just saw what Faba did to your daughter! You're the Aether President! FIRE HIM AND MAKE SURE HE'S ARRESTED! Well, she was overwhelmed with emotion in that scene, so I guess that's why she didn't stop Faba right then and there, not to mention the plot needs to keep going with his plan to capture Nebby. Argh, still, that whole episode left me wishing Faba really gets his just deserts later on. The anime is making him out to be quite the despicable dude, one that is liar and a manipulative jerk.

The episode with this very heartwarming scene:

Yes, you're eyes do not deceive you.

Lillie has completely overcome her fear of touching Pokemon!

When we saw how Lillie regained her fear last episode upon seeing Type: Null for the first time in a while, I had a feeling that touching Silvally and learning what it really did back then would be the key to making her overcome her ultimate fear. Turns out I was right, and the way it was delivered was quite poetic. Hugging the very Pokemon she once feared was the way of introducing the new Lillie. Shiron jumps onto Lillie afterward, harking back to being her first Pokemon that she was able to touch since she gained her fear. Then Pikachu hugs her leg, throwing it back to the time when Pikachu became the second Pokemon that she could touch since she developed the fear. Finally, Nebby runs up to Lillie. This was the most recent Pokemon she feared to touch, and now she happily hugs it. Her fear of touching Pokemon is finally gone indeed! Even the happy tears from Lusamine, the warm smile from Gladion, and Ash's joy speak for themselves.

I also want to take a moment and appreciate that endcard:

It took Lillie 48 episodes to overcome her ultimate fear, and look at her now!

Heck, even the next episode preview shows how much she has developed:

In all, this was a fantastic episode. For the 1000th anime episode of the entire movie, it truly delivered: Fantastic dialogue, great background music, good pacing, wonderful VA work, nice animation, awesome characterization, incredible character development for a certain character, and some powerfully emotional scenes.

Perhaps it might just be me, but I think this episode was much more emotional than the episode where the Stoutland died. That one was sad too, but the newest episode actually left me feeling much more emotion. The feels were that strong.

This was the first episode in the show that really got my attention in a long while, and if I'm being really honest, this was one of my favorite episodes in the entire anime, period.

Seriously, go watch the newest episode if you haven't already. You're missing out!

I know. Isn't it great!?!?

This is actually the most hype thing for me.
I'm sure I'll warm up to the TMNT as time goes on, and especially when they're released, but as of now I just feel like the whole trailer was a disappointment.

Any actual gameplay footage or just an announcement trailer?
Just announcement for now.
All of the TMNT make up for Enchantress being in.

Nothing makes up for Enchantress.

I... definitely was not expecting the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at all. Welp, if we were to bring the (somewhat loose by this point) Smash Bros comparisons, the TMNT are to Injustice what Corrin is to Smash. I'm not mad. I've seen enough fighting game speculation at this point thanks to Smashboards that I'm exactly mad. Disappointed that we didn't get Spawn, Constantine or Rorschach (not to mention the trolling of Raphael in the trench coat), but I'll live with it when we see what they're like. Will they be 1 main turtle and the others come in for special moves like Captain Ginyu in DBFZ, or will they be their own separate characters? We'll just have to wait and see.

Everyone here is picking fantasy because they're horny for Fire Emblem, but I, an intellectual, am picking sci-fi because I'm horny for Metroid
If someone asks you to quickly sum up my account, just show them this post

I just hope the teasing if more DLC after Fighter Pack 3 isn't hot air. Then we might could get Constantine, Rorschach, and Spawn with just one more pack.
