Finished FFVI on the SNES mini. It's the game I was playing the most, so now I should be able to focus on Odyssey when it comes out.

This was my second playthrough of FFVI (first one was the PSOne version on my PS3). I finished it in about 30 hours this time, compared to 40 for my first one. Playing it again reaffirmed it being my favourite FF.

Sure the game makes me feel good, thats no lie, but the small pop up goes away when your moving and i just found it weird that was the glaring problem lol. Now if it took up the whole screen then Id understand why it would be a problem. And before you think im trying to square off, ill jus say I aint ahead of time pff

It's not a glaring mechanical problem, and it won't be an issue for most adult players (it honestly doesn't look like there is much reason to spend money on the game anyway, if you are sensible). But it is a potentially big issue for parents who let their kids play on mobile. That's not to say parents shouldn't monitor their kids while they play, or that they shouldn't just have micro-transactions disabled for the game, but it's a two-way street IMO. The publisher/developer should try to minimise potential "accidental purchases", and I feel Pocket Camp isn't really meeting parents half way in that regard.

It's not going to ruin the game by any means, especially for the kind of people around here (I would assume most are not parents), but it IS generally considered bad form to wave microtransactions in the player's face like that, and always has been. Nobody likes it as a consumer, especially not parents. Just because some other mobile games do it, doesn't mean we shouldn't call it out.

My criticism is subverted though if the ad isn't a clickable link, and is just a news bulletin or something.

Go onto Youtube or something that has episodes of the Japanese Sub. Do not continue with the Dub. You will be far better without the Dub. Either that or watch it, than watch the JP version to see just how vastly they changed things.

Would you believe the voice work is the least of the Dub's problems? The Dub's voice work is nothing compared to cut content, as well as replacing said content with frickin' flashback filler and even changing entire episode's stories and context. Seriously, watch the Original JP Christmas Episode(Episode 35) and Dub 'Episode'(Episode '34' but still 35) side-by-side and it will easily show you everything on what's wrong with the Dub.

Why do the lawful to chaotic selections look more like "Good, less good, even less good"? Also, I don't think Fire Emblem is Chaotic Evil. Probably more Neutral than Chaotic. Pokemon, considering Smogon and whatnot, definitely feels more Lawful Evil than Smash. Smash probably fits Chaotic more.

Because if you have to choose between "an evil guy considers the options before killing you"(Lawful Evil) and "an evil guy who does not care about consequences before killing you(Chaotic Evil), you usually choose the one that isn't sure about it.

There's a difference between playing vs. your brother for fun, and playing against randos online or at a local tourney who exploit frustrating tactics or play overly defensively.

Taiwan lacks local Smash tourneys, there is one but it's not in my city.
As for online I don't really play that much, due to lag and yes some tend to play defensively. But that's how some character MU works and not the game in general in my opinion.
And this is why I really dislike some characters that can exploit those tactics... like Robin, Ness to name a few...

Smash 4 lacks core foundations in strong defensive options, thus, combined with the slower pace, a more defensive playstyle is encouraged over a more aggressive one, and this is what leads to a lot of the problems.

When it comes to that again, I think it depends on the MUs... and sadly skills...I personally think that not all Smash 4 are that defensive as you might think... hell I don't really understand what's wrong when playing defensively, I thought the traditional fighting games like Street Fighter tend to be like that, but I am not an Street Fighter fan so don't quote me on that. I always kind of dislike the health bar since like you said some will exploit tactics or just spam, but my biggest problem is that the health bar sometimes an be hard to turn over, as for Smash with damage percentage you can either rack up damage or just try to KO opponent by sending them off the stage.
As for problem I'm all ears to know... sure Smash 4 competitive does have problems but doesn't kill my hype of watching it.

There's probably some moderately iffy fandom we can replace it with. Mother fans are polite but terrifying in their sacred cow-ness and an unstoppable force, maybe them?

I'd rearrange the three evils. Fire Emblem is Lawful Evil because while inter-game divisions exist, the sides tend to keep to themselves within their own boundaries. Pokémon is Neutral Evil simply due to the fandom's vastness giving more variance. Smash is outright Chaotic Evil.

So I played the Sonic Forces demo on the Switch.

First things first, and this is a criticism of the demo and not the full game - you're limited to one minute of play time per level attempt. After a minute, you're booted to the title screen. Kind of annoying, especially since I didn't notice it on my first attempt of the Sonic level and was toying around with the controls at the start of the level, yet had it abruptly end when I had barely progressed in the level.

Anyway, the game seems to run well enough from what I played. The graphics are noticeably more murky than the other versions even just comparing to YouTube videos, and the resolution and jaggies were noticeable on my TV. But it's still fairly playable. I did have a few moments where I think my inputs dropped though. The game looks a lot nicer when playing in handheld mode though. Quite vibrant.

I'll give more in-depth impressions of the actual gameplay/level design if people want that later, I want to try things out more though.

The playable levels are Modern Sonic Green Hill, Classic Sonic Egg Dragoon fight, and Avatar Space Port.

Sadly, Camilla is 100% at her Corrin-obsessed self in this support, but there was a shining gem in all this:

Chrom sums up exactly what the fanbase generally thinks of Camilla.

I always found Chrom to have some relatable characteristics to me, but man, I never imagined I would also relate to Chrom like that as well.

Yeah, this support made me like Chrom's character even more than I previously did.
