So..

CYL is almost there

And now there's a summoning focus for the vanilla versions of the top 8
This is so evil

I did do the free summon for both of them, and I got 4* Arthur and 4* Olivia which is amazing skill fodder if nothing else.
But putting the eight most popular Fire Emblem characters in a banner when four of them are getting elite versions a few days later is pure gacha-shenanigans.
I'm actually happy I didn't get a five star, since it'd ruin my appearance rate for the actual event, be it CYL or the final days of Nohrian Summer.
As for the free unit, I'm gonna pick Lyn because it's the closest to Eleonora Yumizuru I'm gonna get and rolling for her but only getting Serra and other healers is not good for my blood pressure.
I was under the assumption that pity rates didn't carry across banners anyway.

THIS IS NOT A JOKE
Didn't expect that at all, but oh man, this looks great! I can't wait to see my man Brock again.

I like how him and Misty wear their original outfits for these episodes.

So, Netflix's Death Note, I watched it yesterday.
Before it came out, I thought people were overreacting because it wouldn't be a 1-by-1 adaptation and that they should give it a chance.
When it released and everyone said it was ****, I thought they were exaggerating.
Now, I can safely say I have never been more wrong.
Death Note is complete garbage, I'd even dare say it's the worst movie I have ever seen, but at least it's the worst I can remember now.

And mind you, the only thing I know of the original is the basic premise and some stuff on Light's and L's characters, so I'm looking at this in a vaccum.
The acting looks like something I'd see in a school project, the pacing is all over the goddamn place and characterisation is inconsistent and overall bad.
Light is a stupid kid who feels more like a bullied teenager that wants revenge from a Hollywood movie, his God complex is dropped as soon as it starts and the whole climax is something Anime!Light would do, not this one.
L is just... there, all he does is serve as a plot device to figure out who Kira is and there's no dynamic or mental duel between him and Kira.
I don't have much on Mia but her actions in the climax also heavily contradict everything until then. I get they were pushing the "with great powers come great insanity" but it just felt out of nowhere and she even contradicts herself within it.
Ryuk is the one I liked the most, he had a sort of black humour characteristic that made him enjoyable. What I did not like was how much he forced the Death Note on Light. This is the only comparison I'll draw from the anime is that Ryuk is supposed to be a neutral observer, in the movie, he reveals himself before Light even attempts to write anything and persuades him into doing so, which was obviously made so that Light woudln't have all the gulity in the viewer's eyes.

ALSO THE ENDING SUUUUUUUCKS
I WATCHED 100 MINUTES OF THIS **** ONLY TO GET BLUE BALLED AT THE END **** YOU NETFLIX

Played Mania on my friend's playstation last night, and it is INCREDIBLE. I'm only halfway through and I'm already thinking that it might become my favorite Sonic game. The level design is incredible, the boss fights are fun, the controls are impeccable and smooth...there's just so much to love about this game.

If you'd have told me a Mario and Rabbid crossover happened and that it had XCOM style gameplay I'd have laughed at you.

If you told me it would have gotten some outstanding reviews, I'd have laughed harder.

Ever since E3, I thought it wouldn't be the mediocre game I had first imagined but...

From what I've seen, it deserves the stellar reviews.

I'm glad to be wrong here.

Glad to hear Mario+Rabbids is getting good reviews.

The team behind it seemed super passionate about the whole thing. Their love for the project made me feel bad for the game leaking in the first place. The game even did something that hasn't happened in a while, made me love the Rabbids.

While a part of me is a tad salty about the lack of Rayman, it doesn't really matter.

Hopefully we'll see more Nintendo and Mario crossovers in the future. Including a proper Mario and Sonic game.

The Echoes OST has been announced. It looks like the Data Disk this time around includes the original 8-Bit OST, Amiibo Themes, English Ending Theme, and the songs used in various Cipher promotional trailers.

Mario + Rabbids looks really fun in terms of combat but at the same time I'm in no rush to get it. Mario x Rabbids still isn't the most interesting crossover idea out there IMO, and the exploration gameplay looks far too basic IMO.

If I had more money I might have bought it launch day but things are a bit tight so I'd rather save for FE Warriors and/or Super Mario Odyssey. Will probably wait for a sale on it.

Glad to see Mario X Rabbids getting good reviews. Compared to some of the other recent Rabbid games, this one actually looked like effort was being put into it and I like to see effort rewarded. Also, pretty cool to see Misty and Brock coming back, even if for a bit.

Also, how's this for luck? I actually got Roy from the Block A Banner for my free Summon. As for Block B, I got.......Raigh.

http://skullgirls.wikia.com/wiki/Skullgirls_2nd_Encore

Skullgirls 2nd Encore includes all of the DLC characters and stages funded by Lab Zero’s Indiegogo campaignfrom the get-go, as well as “All Play” multiplayer lobbies and an extensive art gallery. The PS Vita version is playable on a PlayStation TV, and will support up to two local players with DualShock 3 or 4 controllers, as well as any PlayStation 3 compatible fight sticks. Online is Cross-Play across the entire PlayStation family, letting you fight opponents who own either the PS3, PS4 or PS Vita version. The game also supports Cross-buy, meaning purchasing the PS4 version of the game will grant you the PS Vita version for free and vice-versa
This version of the game includes new exclusive modes and features not present in earlier renditions of the game:

  • Fully-voiced Story Mode
All 14 Story Modes are fully voice-acted, with all the previous cast returning to voice their respective characters along with some new faces. Marie 300%will also be voiced.[6] Click here for the full cast list.
This feature is an exclusive to 2nd Encore and is not being added to previous renditions of the game since it was funded by Autumn Games as an incentive to buy the PS4 and Vita versions.[7]
  • Challenges
Players can choose to compete in challenges where they fight against opponents with a variety of unique battle conditions. Such challenges include having to beat Big Band without jumping and defeating a team of 3 Doubles.
  • Trials
In this mode the players are tasked with performing and perfecting combos. Trials use a new button-by-button instructional system to make learning combos easier, with the mode including lessons to teach combos frequently used in real play - ranging from basic to advanced level inputs.
  • Survival Mode
This mode has players battle an endless barrage of foes until they are defeated. A good performance results in more health being recovered between rounds; with players who have survived for longer facing tougher opponents as they continue to win battles.
  • Full Platinum Trophy Set
A new full Platinum trophy set has been added to this version of the game, including 43 trophies that will be awarded across the various gameplay modes available. Many of the previous trophies are also returning, with others having been adjusted based on player feedback.
  • Online Cross-Play
Skullgirls 2nd Encore will feature online cross-play between PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita systems.
  • PlayStation 3 Peripheral Support
Along with Dualshock 3 and 4 controllers, the PlayStation 4 version of Skullgirls 2nd Encore is playable with PlayStation 3 compatible FightSticks without the need of any extra ports or accessories.
TLDR new modes, all the new characters. And, more importantly IMO, a more active online community (probably)

Hmmm...

I'm not sure, while I can pass on some modes. (I am not a online player anyway) I still don't know if the PS3 version is worth it or not. Especially because I will have to buy all DLC characters and maybe a Switch version could come in the futur. So, we will see.

Still, thank you alot for answering my post. :)

It's awesome to see Brock return, but am I the only one who really does not like Misty?
She has lots of problems character/writing-wise, but I do think it'll be cool to see her for the first time in 11-12 years (~550+ Episodes). For Brock it'll be the first time since that un-dubbed Special episode from almost 4 years ago.

I just hope Ash's older Pokemon also get some screen-time. I hate that he hasn't used them the past two Pokemon Leagues.

I just probably got one of the most fitting Overwatch lootboxes in my gaming time. The event is almost over, so I was working hard to try and get at least one more Legendary Event skin. I open up my next Lootbox and I see 2 Legendaries and they were Reaper's Biker skin and 500 Credits. I was already ecstatic when I got the Biker skin, but what made it incredibly fitting was the voice line I got with it. It was Symmetra's "Hard Work and Dedication Pays Off" line. Indeed it does, Symmetra.

I know it convinced me to get the game and I was actively looking for spoilers

So, uh, poll, because why not

http://www.strawpoll.me/13808565

CYL Event poll pretty much.
I can't decide between Ike and Lucina, help me

What I will probably end up doing is waiting to see what their stats are like, and if the free unit will have neutral asset/flaw. If so, I'll probably take the free Ike, and pull for Lucina. I'm less bothered about Lyn or Roy; a mounted archer is cool, but I don't care enough about Lyn to pull for her here. If they ever add someone like Sue or Astrid, though, I might go for them.

Good Mario + Rabbids reviews makes the wait more satisfying. Only one more day.

Better use Video Blocker on the terms "Final Boss" and "All Bosses" to avoid spoilers.

A part of me is a tad disappointed it wasn't a Rabbid version of Bowser (something like Meowser), but I will admit it is a very cool design.
