Today for the first time I heard the sky roaring: I was finishing painting a balcony when I heard that long roar that brought a huge hailstorm, hail was golf ball sized, it was pretty cool to see but the parts I painted got ruined.

I'm glad Sombra is gonna have a likely rivalry with a hero we least expected. I mean it's so cool Zarya will finally have some plot relevance to canon.

I've been wondering what's been taking the last few Kimetsu chapters so long to be translated. Good thing I can read four new-ish chapters for the morning and watch the Spider Family get what's coming for them.

Boy, Muffet sure had let herself go over the years when she looks like that in your avatar.

What can I say, she was probably tired of all her fans finding her cute because she barely looked like a real spider.

Thus her big make-over. :troll:

Somehow I don't find your current avatar to be creepier than your baby avatar from earlier.

OMG, Crazy MGTOW people are friggin' nuts.

They believe if you believe that men and woman are equal, that makes you a horrible person and a feminist

If you believe in marriage you are a horrible person

Tons of crazy crap

"Woman don't have souls" "Woman aren't people"

WTF? How do these people exist?

Edit: I'll be a feminist LONG before I'm ever a MGTOW

Maybe because you are sort of desensitized to spiders (or plain find them cool).

While Chinyuki on the other hand was made with grotesque art to begin with, hence its cancellation in two years after enough complaints for being "too nauseous". Yes, Japanese audiences cancelled a manga for clearly being too gross and creepy. Can't expect less from a kabuki-mono that loves to poop on the graves of his victims.

It's their spindly legs that move around erratically that people find frightening.

Not their head and "teeth"

It's definitely the former (I've thrown away spiders by using tissues with no problem at all, and I'm not really a huge fan of them), though part of me feels like I'm supposed to be scared by that close-up. I possibly would have been frightened if saw that at a very young age, though.

There is an explanation for that after finishing all four chapters.

What you see is a clan of human spider demons that lure unsuspecting demon hunters in the forest where they are either harvested or farmed into spider humanoids like them.

Some clan members have a human body while others are just human heads with the traditional legs. When enraged though, they gain more of their traditional spider traits with a more demonic appearance.

Don't forget that they use their victims as living ventriloquist dummies to ward off intruders. Even going far as breaking and twisting the bodies of their living puppets into unnatural positions with their web if they happen to find a strong pest.

Kimetsu ni Yaiba has quite the huge body count compared to Hunter x Hunter.

Ah.

The flip side of the "feminazi."

Spiders, when they got bigger, do become a bit more terrifying. But my experience with Skyrim toned down my fear of big spiders. But Mothra did nothing for me with ****ing giant moths. Out of all the big bugs in the world, giant moths make me cry. I can't stand them, I can't be near one and I most certainly will NOT touch one.

Jesus, I even looked behind me as I was typing this cause the idea of one in my house is horrifying- and yes, I've had one in my house! Its just... Ugh...

...Well you get the point.

Which makes me believe Kimetsu no Yaiba is a strange amalgamation of Hunter x Hunter and Blue Exorcist.

Come on, the parallels between the Chimera Ants and Spider Clan are there. Except all they need is a cold calculating king who gets stronger by eating the flesh of his victims.

IDK I kind of find them worse

Luckily they aren't very high in numbers.

"Feminazi's" just want to dominate men.

MGTOW, at least the majority I've seen (Although I've seen some good MGTOW) don't even think woman are humans OR equal.

If they had numbers they might be a force worth opposing. But they're just a bunch of idiots

Men, women... White, black... We're all human, regardless of anyone's arguments on the matter. I see no reason to fight about it personally. It just seems like an excuse to hate someone else, in my opinion.

Hm, I may have to take a break from this thread, or maybe this sight in general.

I always come here to escape the terrible reality that we live in only to find that the same exact stuff I hear everywhere else; work, school, family, friends, news, is being discussed here as well. I've never once come here to give a **** about what's going on in the world around me. I come here to escape it. And now that we have nothing else to talk about, it's weaving itself into this sight. It's disappointing, to me.

I feel ya. I go to forums to talk about games, but alas, games arent always on everyones minds. Right now Im just looking at some SSF2 clips of Waddle Dee, and he looks awesome and broken. Im still deciding on whether I should play Animal Crossing, Mario Party, Dragonball or Overwatch. Its not easy having many games. :026:

The conversation will change to lighter fare eventually. It always ebbs and flows. Once we know more about the Switch and its software a great deal more time will be spent talking video games.

I just watched X-Men: Apocalypse finally.

What the heck was that?
No doubt yet another bastardization of our merry band of mutants. I haven't seen it yet, but my expectations are probably, uh, somewhere in the null. I should probably watch it just to see what the hell they did this time.

My last hope lies with Logan. Hopefully it's better than The Wolverine, lol

Really?

I heard good things about it.
Some basic thoughts, both good and bad...

Psylocke just have no character motivation for going with Apocalypse. She sulks away like a bad guy at the end of the movie. Why is she treated like a villain?

Why is Mystique a complete good guy? Why are they removing all the layers that make her fascinating in the books when they have an actress capable of playing said layers?

Could Mystique and Beast spent even less screen time being blue? Like I'm pretty sure they both have a total of 5 minutes in blue form.

Sophie Turner just...can...not act. She looked so bored the entire time.

Nightcrawler is fun. More of him with this actor in future films please.

At least Jubilee gets to talk this time. Barely.

I did like what little they gave Shipp as Storm. Maybe she'll be able to be our first good Storm with more to do.

Cyclops is fine, but just Cyclops. Never been one of my favorites, but they at least made him somewhat matter.

Did they really have to do Havok that dirty? Like wow.

Teamwork? In a X-Men movie? Wow. Color me shocked and surprised and pleased.

Quicksilver is just as good as his cameo was last time. Evan Peters is just a blast to watch.

Can Magneto stop having the same plot in all the Michael Fassbender movies? Again a great actor. Why give him the same plot in every single movie?

WHAT IS WITH THESE MOVIES AND NEEDING A COMPLEX EXPLANATION FOR WHY X-MEN'S HAIR ARE THE WAY THEY ARE. FIRST ROGUE, NOW STORM AND XAVIER.

Wolverine's cameo is fun, but so god damn pointless and just seems like it's there for no reason.

Apocalypse has the same problem of every other movie villain. No personality, no development.

Most ironically there's a line said by Jean about how the third one is the worst.

Please tell me Nightcrawler goes from simpering fop to the daring, Errol Flynn-like guy we all know and love. Please. Just a simple y/n. I don't mind humble(r) beginnings (especially at that point in his origin for the movieverse), but I just hated seeing him look and feel so uncool in the movies.

It's a movie with a **** ton of ideas, some good, a lot of bad, and a great cast...

It just doesn't mix the pot correctly to make it all work. It's still better than X-Men Origins: Wolverine and X-Men: The Last Stand.

I mean he's definitely a really awkward teenage character for a majority of the film, but he's also part of the comic relief of the film, is sweet and charming, religious, things you expect from Nightcrawler. He does have some really nice displays of his powers and a cool fight scene with Angel. Complete with him getting a one liner after defeating him.

He's not exactly picking up any swords anytime soon though.

Well it's a start, at least. I can forgive it; the DNA of the character is all there from the sound of things. He's probably my favorite X-Man, and he also headed my favorite mutant team (Excalibur), which is why I was asking.

Nightcrawler, Kitty Pryde, and Storm have always been my X-Men trio.

Colossus is good too though. He'd be in my top 10 for sure.
