I have to say, Sombra looks really good so far. It seems like her abilities are pretty powerful, but I expect them to be nerfed extensively should she provide to have the upper hand against other characters. In a sense, she seems to be be an evolution of The Spy, being able to sabotage Torbjörn's turrets and the like, but a lot more focused towards offensive disruption.

Now that I've handed in my human rights essay, there's just one more assignment and two exams before this university term is over. I've been missing out on the past Pokémon Generations Episodes, so I wouldn't say it'd be hard to binge watch. But then I need to re-watch the lectures I missed this week so I could work on my essay. That's probably the plan today, along with some more Alpha Sapphire.

Something I wonder about the new Generations episode.

Was Giratina good or bad? I mean, it gave Cyrus what it wanted, but was it due to it trying to save the world? Finding a kindred spirit? Punishing an evil man? What?
None of the above.
Giratina doesn't care about your plans to rebuild the universe, if he gets lonely in his place, you let him kidnap you. Why else would Cyrus not show really any fear in the scene.
Personally, I'd willingly go with the guy.....I really really really really really like Giratina.
so yeah, he just does what he wants, and cyrus can't do a thing about it

Same for buffed veterans :4bowser:
To Ben fair the Up-Throw had crazy amount of setups and regrabs/resets options and also Pivot grabs

Plus he has the best knockback/kill power of any character in the game and his his only downfall was that he was a heavyweight and and had gimpable recovery

No matter what game it is, a new character always seems to immediately be assumed broken doesn't it? :4cloud2:
Makes sense. No one has experience in counter play so it's like everyone is a noob, for however briefly.

For fans of Pokemon Sweet, there's great news!

The creator made a fully complete sequel and released it! It's pretty funny, I started it today. Just as good as the original, if not better. It has some really interesting features that rom hacks have never done before.

The biggest being that your starter chooses your path. Which is pretty neat.

Had a customer that wanted to send money to the "country of Africa"

And no, he didn't mean South Africa. He was trying to send to Ghana. I recognized the city.

Either he was stupid or being scammed. I didn't send it.

You'd think he'd know what country his "sister lived in"

I heard it was really buggy so I'll wait for some bug fixes before diving in.

Maybe.

Also had a black woman trying to cash a check, but the ID she had was a white woman

Instead of the usual, "I'm trying to cash this for a friend" which we couldn't cash it anyway

She said, "That's me. My skins only dark because I'm really sick"

So I've been thinking of this for some time but. . .

There's two general kinds of OC's out there for stories based off of existing properties that I can think of off the top of my head: the self insert character that lives out their fantasies and falls in love with/*insert improbable but cool thing for the non romantically inclined self inserts here* the established characters, and the self insert character for a jaded writer who just wants his paycheck, that isn't impressed by anything no matter what they look at.

Like, I haven't seen any real counterpart trope to Unfazed Everyman listed, which is what the latter boils down to.

Just once I'd like to see someone who isn't wish fulfillment but is actually. . .fazed. Someone who actually freaks out or acts weirded out by fantastic things instead of either having their wishes come true or rolling their eyes after five seconds. That can, like, leave the door open for character development and growing as a person by gradually getting used to things instead of instantly shrugging, or something.

Are there any media that you folks have seen that actually do cover someone having an actual reaction to something to weird stuff happening around them other than "meh?"

Today I learned KingofPhantoms KingofPhantoms must have been a horse in a previous life time because jockeys could absolutely not stop riding them.

In 2 L4D2 campaigns KoP probably had about 200 jockeys jump on them. Fun
I also managed to die for being a fool. . .but at least I didnt startle every single witch!

What about headcanons?
Also, the "falls in love with character who's interested in someone else/not interested in romance" is super popular. Reaaaalllllly popular. I'd be surprised if they weren't.

The bugs seem minor atm. Haven't encountered anything yet, but seen a few small non game breaking ones.

Unlike Order and Chaos.....

Which I liked that rom hack, still playing it. It needs a more linear story and better map design though. It's really buggy to. The fakemon are hit or miss but some are cool.

I had to restart today because it's biggest bug messed me up. You can't play the game from the title screen once you start it. You need to use save slates which sucks.

I accidentally overode mine today trying to load it. I was at the 3rd gym, had spent quuite some time grinding to 30 and even found a shiny. All of which are sadly gone now.

First time I restarted, the game completely broke. Everything was black and white except trainer battles. You also couldn't encounter wild pokemon. I had no clue how that feasibly happened but it did.

Re patching a clean rom fixed it though.

It's not a bad hack either, but those bugs really bug me.

Sweet 2 has been great so far. Played up to the first gym and beat it.

I really hope the Switch has much better online infrastructure than the Wii U. Especially if they're putting a Smash port on it.

I booted the Wii U and Smash up for the first time in months because my friend wanted to play. We ended up not playing because he couldn't find his GamePad Charger or his cartridge for the 3DS version.

So I played against Level 9 CPUs and some For Glory matches for the hell of it.

Did loads of Level 9 CPU matches, and had a lot of fun. The fact I hadn't played in months also seemed to open me up to techniques I normally wouldn't do and it led to me doing a lot better than I remember with some characters, mainly Sonic. Even consistently won as characters I don't often play as, like Link. Constantly felt in control and ironically felt like I was getting better despite Level 9 CPUs not being for that.

But the For Glory matches? First one had a whole second of input delay, and while the other ones after didn't have as noticeable a delay, they kept dropping my inputs outright at random points, or the C-Stick glitch kept happening. After a while I just sort of went on auto-pilot because it wasn't any fun. Gave up on it in about six matches.

I unfortunately have a story I constantly think of in my mind based of an already existing franchise.

It's an Undertale one where there's a human who lives among the monsters by the time Frisk gets there. She was raised for a little bit by Toriel, and wanting to go outside, but not wanting to worry Toriel, she convinces Toriel to teach her how to use magic, and she ends up learning Ice magic. Upon reaching outside, she has a somewhat similar adventure as Frisk does, but it takes over a much longer time, and she doesn't have any interest leaving, due to knowing that she'd have to kill Asgore, and not wanting to kill the King. And that's her backstory in short.

She doesn't have any timeshifting powers like Frisk does, as Flowey still has the most determination. But, she has very slight memory of previous timelines, although not much better than the other monsters.

I haven't quit because I need the medical insurance for antidepressants. I need antidepressants because of my job.

It's an endless cycle
YOU MUST BREAK FREE OF THE CYCLE
I BEG YOU, SIR
You may need to look around for another practice (maybe even one that doesn't take medical "insurance", so you can escape the federal reimbursement / price controls trap which ironically hikes the prices of so many things due to the structural overhead required to deal with bureaucracy, you can pay straight in cash for a conspicuously reduced amount) if the wait and heartache are too long through your employer's recommended circles, and discuss with a doctor open to the idea about helping you get off all things you can. Some things require weaning, others can be struck outright, very very few need to be kept for treatment of legitimate disease states. Come prepared with everything you take in a list (and the physical bottle) and how they metabolize if you have more than just the antidepressants you're taking, and one session should be more than enough.
There are many other alternatives to antidepressants--antidepressants, the ones that aren't just placebo at least, treat only the symptom and not the root cause. Look for the root cause. For most people, it lies in diet or lifestyle, both of which can be changed with dedication.
There's tons of literature out there on the subject, and so much stuff to dig through, so much effort to put in. But, if you take the time to really research the alternatives (and it doesn't take much money, just diligently browsing the internet with a discerning mind or a visit to a competent doctor) I think you'll find it well worth.
