So I read elsewhere why Pokémon Mystery Dungeon seems so far removed from everything else Nintendo, including why it has no Smash content.
Of all "Nintendo properties," it's up there with Fatal Frame with being one that Nintendo has the least stake in. The Mystery Dungeon IP is owned by Chunsoft from when there were non-Pokémon versions in the public eye, and adding Pokémon was a deal with solely GameFreak. So despite featuring characters owned by Nintendo, Nintendo owns very little, if any, of the series itself.
I may have misremembered some details, but the point is, RIP my dreams of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon music in a future Smash game.

If you can get Fatal Frame trophies and Tetris music in Smash you can probably get PMD stuff too. ...rejected the weak and most likely mistreated his pokemon in order to make them stronger, after suffering defeats to both the player and Lance he realizes he was misguided...His Golbat finally evolving into Crobat showed he built a stronger bond with his Pokemon...
