Aw, you couldn't be more right about 2016 killing celebrities, just yesterday, a Mexican singer and composer with nearly more than 40 years in his career died from a heart attack, and he was 66 years old, and sadly enough, he gave one last concert on friday, his name was Juan Gabriel.

I could've swore Rider mentioned Archer's true name early on during Zero. But anyway:
-Archer = Gilgamesh from the Epic of Gilgamesh.
-Caster = Gilles De Rais, one of the warriors who fought alongside Joan of Arc, but around after she died, he went crazy and started killing people.
-Lancer = Diarmuid Ua Duibhne, one of the Fianna of Ireland. Basically, his love spot caused a woman, whom his leader, Fionn mac Cumhaill, was going to marry, to fall in love with him. She forces him to run away with her through a geas and as such, Fionn tries multiple times to kill Diarmuid until at some point, Fionn basically gave up and pardoned the couple. Eventually however, there is a point where Fionn and Diarmuid go hunting in which Diarmuid gets fatally wounded by a giant boar. Fionn goes to get water that will heal his wounds, but due to lingering jealousy, he accidentally drops the water twice until threatened by his son and grandfather. By the time Fionn actually brings the water the third time, Diarmuid has died.
-Assassin = Literally a Hassan. Basically, in the Holy Grail War in the main series, the only Assassin for the Assassin class are Hassan from Persia/Arabia/etc. Basically, there is a whole bunch of different Hassan with different abilities in the Fateverse, so this one in Fate/Zero has the ability to have different forms.

You are correct about Rider's name being a different spelling. "Iskander", who Rider is referred to in Fate/Zero, is the Old Persian variant of the name "Alexander." Persia was among the kingdoms that Alexander ruled over.

The Hassan-i Sabbah(or sometimes "The Old Man of the Mountain") is the leader of a group of Hashashin, the Arabic word for Assassin. Basically, all of the Hassan-1 Sabbah or Hassan were at one point a leader for the Assassins.

This is the hint that made me realize he was Lancelot:

In the first ending, they show every servant during their life and, by process of elimination, we can deduce that this is Berzerker. So how can we guess he is Lancelot out of this? Well it's a knight in a lake, and Lancelot of the Lake is a knight.

Plus he was really violent toward Saber, like he explained afterward.

And watch Einzbern consultation room. It's a good mini-serie.
