I've had this problem with the Incense sometimes. It's a little annoying how any Incenses and Lure modules I use aren't attracting any pokemon...I've used a couple of each and got nothing outside of regular wild encounters...
Makes them somewhat useless despite them being very hard to come by, and I feel like the ones I've used are just wasted because of this...If I end up buying some with real money I really want to make sure they actually work...
I've reported it to Niantic so we'll see what happens...though I know they've got their hands full with 9001 other issues in the game...
I really hope they fix the 3 step glitch soon, it's not really fun when you're just walking around aimlessly hoping to find something, and all you get are the usual Pidgeys, Rattatas, and Weedles...
I wonder if anyone else is having a similar problem...
Revolting. I want flame war. They did.

It's obviously not as heartwarming as that comic, but it's sweet they actually did it.

It is possible, depending on the workload with updating the games and create other new levels and bosses, they could have the time to go back and finish those old stages if they wanted. So I could see those scrapped levels from the three games & Knuckles (aside from Sonic 2's Hidden Palace Zone for obvious reasons) get remade and put in either as bonuses or actual stages you progress though. What if Project Sonic 2017 is all about having scrapped levels from past games?
And the one in the trailer is "Genocide City Zone" (an actual scrapped level from Sonic 2)?
It sounded better in my head...
Cool! We've finally translated Sakurai's Column on Sonic. Heads up: the column is originally from 2007.
With this we've finally translated all the third party character introductions. I believe we are done with general character introductions too, I'll need to check my list to make sure. In Brawl, Sakurai wrote a lot about general development progress whereas with Smash for Wii U/3DS, he wrote whole columns on a certain character. That is more proof that Sakurai really focused on characters this time around (Exhaustion and Excitement is perhaps the best summary of his outlook, or at least as far as we can tell).
People are using Mania to take pot shots at the Sonic '17 teaser.Okay...
People are using the Sonic Mania trailer to take pot shots at Federation Force.
I... can't...
Well... they aren't really related, but... I'm sure people would've preferred a sprite-based Super Metroid/Fusion-type game to FF. Both Sonic and Metroid know taking creative risks with a series doesn't always pay off.Okay...

They just won't let go.
I'm not pro-Federation Force. I'm not going to say it's a bad game, the game isn't out yet, who knows how it'll be critically received, but the game eschewed too many of the tenets long held in the Metroid series all at once, and without any other more standard Metroid to offset its divergence showing up in the past few years, I cannot say some of the grievances against the title are without reason.People are using EVERYTHING to take potshots at FF.
It's just the faming community's current target for irrational hatred.
Wait for the game release and hope people pick a new target and that it won't be another Other M that gets brought up constantly

I would not compare Mania to FF. Mania almost seems to be the antithesis of FF. One changes nearly everything about the series and the other reverts to almost entirely previously tread ground. To the point where personally I think it looks so derivative it's boring, though I have faith it'll be a decent enough game.I will say, however, that sonic mania is probably the perfect example of the only thing Nintendo did wrong.
With sonic, they announced sonic mania. By itself, it would be a bit disappointing (for most) with all the hype leading up to it even with how cool mania is. BUT project 2017 was announced with it.
Fed Force is like sonic mania but there was no project 2017 to go with it.

Actually people hated Metroid Prime at first.Nintendo killed it when they (iirc) announced Prime and Fusion together.
Well, they were unconvinced, which is why Nintendo made the smart move in showing Fusion as well.Actually people hated Metroid Prime at first.
They thought it looked generic.
And it wound up being one of fhe best games of all timeActually people hated Metroid Prime at first.

SSMB I presume? Saw you on there yesterday actually.Meh.
It's like this on a lot of large scale forums, Smashboards is no different either.
Mod teams get so big and some of them develop an ego to a point where some seem fine but then others seem bad. You just kinda have to role with it.
But in this case, the forum I'm trying to use has a bad reputation. I've heard so many bad things about it from a lady who used to be a member of it's staff. So I should have known better. But I really wanted a dedicated place to get excited about Sonic before and after the reveal of those games, and a place to get discuss the series in the future, so I went in with an open mind.
But after this, I'm not even gonna try to be an active member.
Reminder...Metroid's 25th Anniversary was celebrated by the fans and barely mentioned if at all by Nintendo, while this year being Metroid's 30th yeilds so far just a spin-off that takes an unnecessary risk for a series that can't really afford to take such risks at this point...I understand that and I'd prefer a 2D Metroid as well.
But the constant potshots are getting to me.
They just won't let go.
Because if I remember correctly 2d metroid is Sakamoto's thing only and Sakamoto is off making other games and doesn't want to make metroid.Reminder...Metroid's 25th Anniversary was celebrated by the fans and barely mentioned if at all by Nintendo, while this year being Metroid's 30th yeilds so far just a spin-off that takes an unnecessary risk for a series that can't really afford to take such risks at this point...
I think it really needs to be emphasized that although Fed Force may turn out to be a great title, it's not one that needed to be done at this point in time...you just don't revive a series with a spin-off that focuses on an aspect the series isn't even known for to begin with...
I understand the Wii U was a bit of a flop for Nintendo to focus on a title for the system, but I honestly don't understand why there wasn't another title that came for the 3DS, mainly a 2D title, which we didn't even get for the DS...too many things are overdue for Metroid and Nintendo's trying to push things they shouldn't be on a series that isn't doing as well as it should be...
...Man, I don't know my Metroid too well, but wasn't Sakamoto the guy who "ruined" the series with Other M?Because if I remember correctly 2d metroid is Sakamoto's thing only and Sakamoto is off making other games and doesn't want to make metroid.

I can kind of see it now. Just as long as he stays away from FE in the future I'm content with this. His hand drawn sketches on twitter are awesome and are full of character, but his final in-game designs come off as bland IMO. Give me back the anime styled sprite portraits with moving faces. So, turns out the human characters in Pokémon GO were designed by Yusuke Kozaki, whom you may know better as the character designer behind Fire Emblem: Awakening, Fire Emblem Fates and No More Heroes.

Yup....Man, I don't know my Metroid too well, but wasn't Sakamoto the guy who "ruined" the series with Other M?
Or maybe there was just 2 Sakamotos.
I never heard that it was reserved solely for Sakamoto, though there's still why we haven't had a 2D game on the DS even before Other M...at this point it's been 12 years since the last 2D metroid which was since Zero Mission, a remake...Because if I remember correctly 2d metroid is Sakamoto's thing only and Sakamoto is off making other games and doesn't want to make metroid.

Thing is, Sakamoto did a great job with Fusion and Zero Mission, heck Zero Mission is easily one of my favourite Metroid games out there, but give him full control, which he got for Other M, and he tries to turn the series into something else entirely...and that something else ended up being something that a lot of people were very unhappy about......Man, I don't know my Metroid too well, but wasn't Sakamoto the guy who "ruined" the series with Other M?

Difference is we didn't have a Metroid Prime Wii U in the works that we knew of when the game was announced...Yup.
But he is also the same guy who worked on The original metroid and super metroid so. . .
PS if anyone genuinely thinks Fed Force shouldn't carry the name Metroid Prime, I hope you won't be mad when we change the title of "The Legend of Zelda Triforce Heroes" to "the adventures of Bob, Steve, and Chris"
