Well the same thing happened during CEO, but now for Guilty Gear:


Honestly, this is absolutely disgusting. I know it doesn't represent all of the Melee players, but Melee players need to show more ****ing respect for other games and their players.

I was watching the stream earlier. Twitch chat was toxic as always, but I didn't hear the chanting/booing.

On one hand, I can understand being frustrated since the whole tournament was running late. On the other hand... this was an awful way to express it. It's not a tournament for a single game.

Like you said, this isn't a representation of the entire community, so hopefully people don't take it as such.

What's up with Hideki Kamiya's tweets? They seem so weird he tells people he'll block them when they ask him questions. Sorta comes off as dickish.
He just doesn't like repetitive questions he gets asked like a few times each day.
Or ones that are just not worth answering.

He's a cool guy.

Man, I don't want to hate the Melee community. They've been playing an extremely technical game for 15 years now, they're all dedicated and very talented.

I absolutely hate those melee players and have no respect for them as they seemingly only have respect for themselves.

It truly gives melee fanbase a bad name.

Booing Smash 4 is one thing but you have NO REASON to go after Guilty Gear.

We're already getting custom trophies in Smash Wii U.


Modding for this game has come along so much faster than Brawl. It's great.
The game's architecture allows much easier additions due to DLC support.

It's how DLC works, except that it's modders adding the content, rather than being provided by Nintendo via eShop downloads.

Actually, it's less that, and more that the files are organised much better than in previous installments, and the fact that it uses much better file formats.

A lot of the file formats in Smash 4 are used in other Namco games, which already would have had been researched from other game modding scenes. Smash 4 modding experience has already extended into Pokkén, for example, as the file formats are pretty much the same.

There's also the fact that some more experienced programmers are involved in Smash modding, that make programs with good UI and functionality that make messing around with the games files much easier.

I hope they don't change the balance and feel AT ALL. for existing characters. Just add new/old characters, costumes , music and stages.

I hope they don't change the balance and feel AT ALL. for existing characters. Just add new/old characters, costumes , music and stages.
Isn't balancing the whole point of Project M though?

There's already a Project M inspired mod for Smash 4.

And it does change the feel of the game to be more like Melee.

You don't really need a big mod dedicated to new costumes and such, you can already add whatever you want with ease.

This isn't Brawl though.
There's already a Project M inspired mod for Smash 4.

And it does change the feel of the game to be more like Melee.

You don't really need a big mod dedicated to new costumes and such, you can already add whatever you want with ease.
aww. I don't want to play melee when I play smash4. urgh. >.<

I know about costumes. I'm just waiting for more characters and stages that would interest me.
Most of the colour swaps I find ugly, tho. Especially the negativeish or dark ones.

Smash 4 modding is such a great thing to watch out for.
I'm constantly keeping myself updated on latest releases.
For instance I'm currently watching out for these mods: :026::wolf:
I definitely want to be able to play some of the mods for smash 4, I just need to find out a possible way to do so.
Also that video showcases an amazing menu theme involving Primal Dialga

Cool! I've made a few models that I would like to include as custom trophies once this gets improved upon and made accessible.

Smash 4 modding is really showing some promises. :)

It is, but at the same time it also is not.

It is in the sense that there are more viable characters.

It isn't in the sense that you've got so many more characters with wholly unique abilities and traits (a big focus of the newcomers in this game) like Shulk's Monado Arts, Rosalina and her Luma, Ryu's Street Fighteryness, etc, that there are a lot more match-ups in this game that are so obviously skewed in favour of one character, and part of it is because a lot of the older characters from the N64 days and what not keep their original movesets, but those movesets just weren't designed to deal with these new traits.

The most extreme example is the Rosalina VS Ness MU - Ness was given a recovery in Smash 64 that makes use of a projectile, but Rosalina was given a move that absorbs projectiles within a wide radius. Ness' recovery was made the way it was because it makes him unique, but Rosalina's Down B was also made the way it was because it makes her unique and references her control over gravity.

Because Smash 4 is so dead set on making everyone unique in some way, you run into a lot of situations like this, where when one character is put into a certain situation against another character, there is absolutely nothing they can do to get out of it, and it's something they would never have to deal with against most other characters.

I have very little knowledge when it comes to the competitive scene so I can't truly provide an answer to that, however I do know that certain characters can be much better than they are now, but didn't get a single buff throughout the entire Smash patching history (I hope I spelled that right) such as Dedede.

True but not all players are able to use Rosalina's thing on Ness. Some really good Ness players might destroy the Rosalina before she gets the chance.
Skill takes part in everything.

Well that's not the only thing that makes the Rosalina VS Ness MU one-sided.

Rosalina still beats him pretty easily without her Down B, both on and off stage. For example, you don't even need to use the Down B on his recovery, Rosalina and Luma's D-airs can both easily hit Ness into a KO directly because Rosalina's is a disjoint that can spike, and Luma's has transcendent priority and is basically an aerial Smash Attack. And since Rosalina is quick in the air and has the best aerial acceleration in the game (tied with Peach and Palutena), she has no problems honing in on aerial opponents and accurately positioning for a hit.

Hypothetical "Ness could destroy Rosalina before she gets the chance to get him off stage" situations mean nothing, because if both players are of equal skill level, that's simply not gonna happen, because Rosalina has a major, inherent advantage against Ness. For that hypothetical scenario to happen, the Rosalina would have to play exceptionally poorly (and admittedly, Rosalina's player base isn't very good).

Being that ZeRo can lose to a Palutena player, and the immense diversity of the game, I'd definitely say Smash 4 is the most balanced official Smash Bros. game.

No. Trust me, I've ordered plenty of Japanese Amiibo before.
Actually i just tried to use my recent Bowser amiibo (well, technicaly Koopa) in Mario Kart 8 and it worked. So yeah amiibos are region free.

The reason i asked was because that Bowser amiibo was actually a gift from my cousin that just returned from Japan yesterday.

Also modding from Smash 4 seems to be advancing very fast, and that can only mean one thing.......

I feel One Punch Man is overrated.
There were some funny moments but overall it's alright. First episode was just, stupid.

I'm on the halfway point so it can still get better but I will probably think it's overrated at the end of it.

Genos' design and character is amazing.
