In the PS1 days, discs stored more than cartridges, letting the PS1 to zoom ahead of the N64. This would be a rather ironic spin if this does end up being the case.

That said, I don't think the FF7 remake will require more than one disc. Blu Ray discs can store upto 100 GB (called BDXL discs), and I doubt FF7's remake will be that big.

They seem to be doing as the original FF7 needed more than one disc, as a homage.
Pretty sure FF7R is going to be released in different parts and in an interview is was stated each part would be the size of one game.

Maybe they still can fit it all in but that would be pretty huge.

Why does playlist in the links have ever game ever? lol.
Wait it linked to my playlist and not just the vid?
Weird but cool.

To answer the question, it's my entire music playlist and, naturally, I like to keep some variation :p

CEO has been great btw. Other than Prince Ramen getting sent to Losers :(

You have given me an idea to make my own playlist like that. Hmm.

I doubt it would be longer lol.

Anyone know of good OST's to listen too? Xenoblade Chronicles X is really good and pretty varied.

It just doesn't get boring.
Hiroyuki Sawano never disappoints. I like his work a lot. His anime works (Attack on Titan, Kill la Kill, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, Guilty Crown, Gundam UC, Seraph of the End, Blue Exorcist, Aldnoah.Zero, etc.), as well as some of his original albums, are greatly enjoyable.

Also, someone suggested Kid Icarus: Uprising's OST. Good taste. Boss themes, Dark Pit's Theme, the orchestral songs for aerial sections... Great stuff. Some of my favorite VGM composers worked on it and it shows.

Also, the first Xenoblade Chronicles OST is also great, especially the battle themes, as well as cutscene songs like Unfinished Battle and Engage the Enemy, and area songs like On the Fallen Arm, Mechonis Field and Gaur Plain.

It's also stated to be episodic, meaning they'll probably not be released all at the same time. If the NX wants all parts on one cartridge, it's probably going to release long after every other version

Decided to look through some SilvaGunner stuff and this one is genuinely catchy and is very high quality indeed.

Speaking of OSTs, I might be importing some VGM and anime soundtracks online this summer.

CD quality sound and not having to go to YouTube for music (which sometimes gets taken down due to copyright claims), plus I support the artists.

I have a good list of playlists now. Thanks a lot for the suggestions!

Yep, as a KI:U fanboy I have had that for a while! I added the OG Xenoblade OST now.
I need to sleep so I'll listen to a great playlist I found with a lot of his work later. I enjoyed Attack on Titans music a lot.

Playing Birthright right now and I have to say, I take back what I said about Rinkah being completely useless
She is a great pair up bot
Now I just wish she could get to Lv10 by blocking attacks because those Oni Chieftain bonuses are gonna be great

Good OSTs? To be honest this is something I tend to be lacking in knowledge as I've not listened to them as often as I used to. But if I can toss out one then I'd recommend anything from The Neverhood or Skullmonkeys.

The easiest way to describe it is avant-garde Dixie Jazz (and even that's just the barebones), and overall it's fun to listen to. Shame we don't have more experimental music in gaming.

XCX's ost is probably my favourite from a recent title...Was a fan of Sawano's work on AoT and thought it felt similar until I learned it was actually him...

The Metroid Prime Trilogy is my favourite OST...so of course I would recommend it...

But I feel the Mass Effect trilogy has a very underrated OST...especially Mass Effect 2...

Yeah if you use her decently enough early on for killing enemies in the Prologue, you can make her pretty much unstoppable in the early chapters if you pair her up with Corrin and give her a Str and Def Tonic. And you can do so without stealing all of Corrin's levels.

I didn't even do that and she still turned out amazing.

Wow. I love neat touches like this!
It's Song of Time slowed down!
You can hear Zelda's Lullaby slowed down as well...I believe you can hear it while on the Tower of Resurrection during the cutscene...

Senran Kagura

Undertale, Ratchet & Clank Up Your Arsenal, Super Mario 3D World, Mega Man X4, and Fire Emblem Fates would be my recommendations.

Man I don't want to wait that long period. ;_;
Sonic did this similarly and I think that was discontinued, and I'm afraid that the FF7 remake might go the same way.

I mean, she isn't seeing any action, she just cheers on Saizo to give him boosts
I'll give some thoughts on the characters so far later, though I'll probably only be able to play until Chapter 10 since this is my friend's cartridge

So were talking about OSTs then?

While not having a lot of content in the game. SFV still has really good music.

I mean listen to this soundtrack. This rendition of Ryu's theme is ****ing amazing.

Not FE Fates. I'll be music spoiled XD.
My bad mate, it was just a suggestion for when you finally finish Fates. The soundtrack itself is just good enough to a listen once you beat two or all three routes.

There are a number of tracks in FE Fates that can be listened to without fear of spoilers.

Such as my personal favorite:

Which you've more than likely already heard if you've gotten past Chapter 5.

Do you have Dread Fighter scrolls? If so, if you reach Hinoka, Azama and Setsuna, immediately give Azama one. I heard he's amazing as a Dread Fighter due to the fact that it's a physical class that Azama wants, Dread Fighter makes his high HP, Str and Spd Growths even higher and it fixes his Resistance and Res growths.

Megaman Network Transmission has an amazing electronic soundtrack I frequently go back to listen.

Here's some standouts from it:

Likewise, Sonic Adventure, some of the KoF games, Street Fighter 3 and the Persona series (starting with 3) all have catchy music I listen to a lot.

There's way more games I go back to but it'd take awhile to list.
