< I voted for this handsome fellow over to the left, of course. Don't expect much, but I can dream, right? Also loving all these localised names for Heroes. The FE4 names are all true to their Irish origins, and it's wonderful. I can just imagine all the tongues that will be tied trying to pronounce them.

It was originally named "Gaiden" since it was literally a side-story to the original NES Fire Emblem, being set in the same world (albeit a different continent), and featuring a small number of returning characters, such as the Whitewings (Palla, Catria, and Est).
The Japanese version of the remake also has a different title: Fire Emblem Echoes: Another Hero King (the first being Marth, presumably).

I totally forgot that Gaiden had characters from the first game. Heck, it doesn't just have the Whitewings in it...

Camus joins Alm's army, even if he lost his memories for the time being and is known as Zeke.

That aside, funny enough, it's also the game where there are 2 playable characters named Robin and Kamui(which is also the JP name of Corrin).

Well Chrom is the "main" one from the game. He was the first choice to be added from Awakening, Sakurai eventually just realized he's super derivative and opted for Robin instead.

I'm actually going to take a shot in the dark and say we're getting multiple Directs before the Switch even releases due to how quick after the Presentation and completely out of nowhere this one was.

As for specifics, I'm going to go with an indie Direct and another Animal Crossing Direct that is mostly for the mobile app but at the last second announces either a New Leaf Switch port or a new Animal Crossing for it to work with.

I'm either going to be a prophet, completely wrong, or somehow guess part of it but still be mostly wrong. One of those, most likely.
