Yes all 3 in 3 years. Modern devs yearn for development cycles that short


Crash 3 is released and for some reason he is on a motorcycle and has a bazooka. It has a time travel theme so levels are more diverse than ever. However, there is a lot less pure platforming. Crash 1 and 2 had warthog/polar bear riding but Crash 3 has Tiger riding, deep sea diving, aerial dogfights, motorcycles races etc.

For some this is an unnatural departure from Crash's platforming roots, but for me it made the game more diverse. The Tiger riding on the great wall of China and the deep sea diving are probably the 2 most memorable things for me.

Also the bosses are easily the best in this game. Including the REAL best Crash cahracter, Dingodile. He also comes with one of the best themes in the series

Also the japanese version has this when you beat Tiny (the first boss). ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

No Link VS Cloud? I mean, unofficially that was always a thing because of things like Gamefaqs, Death Battle, the fanbases of both characters, etc, but today, we can now do it in an Official game after years and years of wanting such a thing to happen.

Part The Final

CRASH "MOTHER ****ING" TEAM RACING
Second game I ever owned. Naughty Dog made 3 great platforming games already so they decided to get in on the Kart racing bandwagon. Because experience in making platformers TOTALLY transfers to kart racers right?


Plot Twist. It does and it is amazing. Great gameplay, great tracks, great singleplayer mode, unlockable characters. The whole package. I love this game so damn much.

Later Crash Bash comes along made AFTER Naughty Dog leaves to greener pastures

It's pretty much a Mario Party ripoff but without the polish of CTR. A great focus on singleplayer and co-op over free-for-alls though. Unfortunately there are only like 6 minigames. Then those 6 minigames have little variations. Not huge deals usually. So things get stale.

The single player has challenge missions for every minigame though, some of which are absurdly brutal and pretty cool.


Also if you play co-op with a good guy AND a bad guy, you get to have a fight for the fate of the universe for an ultimate battle. It's pretty cool


And after that the PS2 era which I am not as familiar with. Nitro Kart was still great, Twinsanity was pretty good, essentially Crash 4 was okay, Crash Tag Team Racing was terrible and the Titan games. . . no.



And now Skylanders and HOPEFULLY more but. . .well we'll see I guess

EDIT Forgot the gameboy games which were pretty good. Except the Spyro crossover which is allegedly terrible
