In Wii Fit Traimer's defense, she had a hell lot of material to work with. A lot if we include the various Yoga poses and Strength Training exercises. So no, she's not remotely comparable to a Wave Racer.

All you do in Wave Race is motorboating from start to finish. You can't translate that into a Smash environment, even using "magic waves" that appear when the vehicle moves would look stupid and unrealistic (even more so than R.O.B.'s nechanics). Not even giving them a Kamen Rider fighting style out of nowhere like Sakurai did for Falcon would work.

Please, give me some real examples of how a Wave Racer would work?

Ohohohoho and R.O.B. doesn't look stupid and unrealistic when he flies around? That's rich coming from the so called Wii Fit prophet around these boards. I can't believe that we are on this subject, yet here I am to show you that a character can work (Oh don't mind if I use your stuff @smashkirby).

This time around, I'd like to actually make TWO threads in the sense that they actually seem to essentially share the same universe, but I'll get into that later. So here it is, the Wave Race and 1080° for SSB4!

Introduction
Wave Race is a personal watercraft racing game made by Nintendo EAD and published by Nintendo. These games are fairly simple in the fact that the player controls a jet skier around a water track, and sometimes, the player must race through different weather conditions on a variety of different courses.

Well, why would Wave Race need a character for Smash?
Well, I'm not saying they need a playable character from Wave Race. I'm just thinking it could be an interesting idea to explore. Also, before anyone starts telling me, "But no one from Wave Race has even been seen off of their vehicles!"

People, may I present Exhibit A-

That's right, don't forget, Captain Falcon has never been seen out of his car (except on special occasions) so who's to say that Wave Race could not have a character off their jet-ski? Don't forget, according to quite a multitude of hints and implications, in the world of Super Smash Bros., anything can happen.

Well, okay...But what would a Wave Race character even do?
Well, I'm glad you asked! I envision a Wave Race character to be somewhat a cross between (and bear with me on this.) Captain Falcon and.....Squirtle. Now, hear me out. I know it sounds strange, but I was going to say imagine Capt. Falcon with "water" properties instead of fire. Let me point out right now, however, that I do NOT think they should be a clone of Captain Falcon and borrow all his moves. All I'm saying is that I think they should imitate the "fire" effect gimmick and replace it with water for Wave Race character. They could even use their jet-ski to ram into someone or even summon a small, medium, or large wave to attack their opponents. Maybe their Final Smash could calling in the other Wave Racers to ride onto the stage and ram into characters or simply summon a colossal wave to sweep their opponents away. (Kind of a mix between Mario's F.L.U.D.D and Isaac's effect as an AT in Brawl.
Now, on to the second-half of this universe...

Introduction
1080° is a snowboard racing video game developed and published by Nintendo and the game essentially involves the player choosing a snowboarder and ski down large mountains, all the while using a combination of buttons to jump and/or perform high-flying tricks in mid-air.

Okay, now why would 1080° deserve a character in Smash?
Well, similar to what I said earlier about Wave Race, 1080° would have a character that would be another combo of Capt. Falcon and the Ice Climbers, once again in the sense that a 1080° character would have "freeze" effects on their opponents and use their snowboard to ram into others or even swing their snowboard into others. Their Final Smash could be summoning a colossal snow avalanche and freezing everyone on the stage, immobilizing them for a while.

In closing....
I know that neither of these series would a real chance to be in Smash 4, but when you think about it, Sakurai has said that he would like to add unique characters to Smash, so why not someone from Wave Race and/or 1080°?​

For a game that's all about Wave Racing, they can be given the ability to fight with water. Before you say that doesn't make any sense, look at it this way. Falcon kicking and screaming with falcon-shaped fire attacks works in a way where it doesn't heavily detract from his character. Yes, the two are completely different entities but that's besides the point. They don't have to be on their vehicle all the time, it can be saved for a Final Smash and they actually put that athletic body to good use. This is the same man that's capable of making R.O.B., Wii Fit Trainer, and the damn dog you worship work as characters.

@Thatkidwiththeafro is also in the middle of making a moves for both a Wave racer and a 1080 Snowboarder. So that's another thing you can look forward to. I get that you never grew up with Wave Race and fail to see how one can work, but you can't ignore that Sakurai have done the impossible with some characters to prove that a Wave Racer is hard to make believable in Smash.

But I can't expect any less from Trash the Bear's No. 1 fanboy.

Again stop comparing Wave Racer to Wii Fit and the others. They, especially Duck Hunt, at least have moves that fit their characters even if they weren't capable of doing that in their games (or real life in R.O.B.'s case). Yes, even Wild Gunmen and Hogan's Alley suits the Dog a lot despite being from different Zapper games. You're not doing any favors to help your case. Try making a moveset that's actually fitting or manageable for Wave Racer, maybe that would help change my mind. For now, I don't see a Wave Racer character being likely at all when the series had been dead for years (not counting this rumored Switch game).

Except R.O.B. is just a NES peripheral in REAL LIFE. He's only treated as a robot and Hector's creation in the game's manual. Even it's possible for a child to break him. Smash only canonized that as a way to make him work as a fighter. A plastic toy that buzzes loudly while moving around would make a literal "broken low tier trash" character. Speaking of that, Villager literally has a move that flies on a jet fueled Gyroid. How's that for not making sense?

Maybe it's because of the fact I don't know, the game is called WAVE RACE. Waves and water are an important part off the games other than racing. So why would giving a Wave Racer water abilities not seem fitting? Last time I've checked, no one thought of Kamen Raider when looking at Canon!Falcon other than Sakurai himself. So making him a hot blooded Kamen Rider parody is far from fitting. Even the idea of Villager perpetually smiling while beating others is extremely out of character.

The comparisons are real as it gets, love. They all share plenty of things in common whether you like it or not. Stop being so biased or Wii Fit Trainer and Duck Hunt, they aren't accurate to show they should be at all. The dog is a troll, but he doesn't summon cowboys or have an affiliation with the Mafia. No, just no. The comparisons are a load of Youtube Poop. How else would Wii Fit Traiiner fight, stay within safe boundaries still watching yoga? Also, the 8-bit manifestations don't have a character. This the idea of Duck Hunt manipulating them makes sense. The Green Missile is completely in character with Luigi's silly cowardly nature, nothing wrong with that. Keep the strawmen coming.

Yes, that is true. But you have to give some characters a degree of realism and believability to work. Making a Wave Racer a water bending Captain Falcon wannabe doesn't quite cut it. And if the moveset you give me incorporate these outlandish ideas, I would only laugh harder. Just face it, a Wave Racer can't work as a fighter.
