Yea, Wii's have a major shortage.

Usually, every week each store(Wal-Mart, Gamestop), gets around 5 Wii's. This isn't enough to met demand. You have to put into account all the people who pre-ordered the wii, plus the thousands who already want it.

Here's a short story. Ok, I was convinced I wanted a wii because of brawl. I figure I'd check out GameStop and Wal-mart. They were all sold out of wii's, and next shipping day was Monday. Both stores said they'd recieve 5 Wii's.The shipment arrives at 11:00 AM. I got to Gamestop(first), at 11:15 AM. There was only 1 wii left, and I got lucky enough to buy it. I checked Wal-mart and they were long gone aswell.

You should be more worried about getting a nintendo wii then getting the games.

You found out NOW that you can't just walk out with a Wii? My local store sold out their shipment within minutes, b/c there were only TWO units in one shipment!!!! And I got the first unit of the two for that week a while back, LUCK.

This is what happens when people think they can "wait it out" just to get 1 particular game.

Sucks to be you.

Nah doesn't suck actually. I'm kinda glad I waited it out. the best games for wii are about to be released within Fall- Spring, so now's the best time.

When Wii first came out there wasn't a single game I wanted.(Not zelda fan sorry). Now there's tons, and no waiting either, or spoilers.

Can I have some of that stuff you snort?

Anyway, if Nintendo stops producing Wiis [why would they do something so retarde- oh yeah, it's Nintendo] I'll just get a 360 and miss out of Brawl and Metroid. Nothing big.

Like that actually helps?

Wouldn't that make the Wii in higher demand than it already is?
Yea I would actually help, for me atleast.

If I had bought the Wii when it first came out, I'd be stuck with unenjoyable games for what, almost 2 years? Or I could of just bought the Wii now, and have like 7 awesome games right away and no waiting months.

Yes that makes it higher in demand, but higher demand doesn't make it impossible to buy or find. You just pre-order or just get it early when the shipment arrives. It's not hard, really.

There's only Three games that's out right now that I want.

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock(Recent release too)

Sonic and the Secret Rings

Super Paper Mario

Rules for me are, I'm not buying a system if it only has a few games I want. Needs atleast 5 or 6. Games that I want and aren't even out yet are

Kirby Wii

Mario_Kart_Wii

Super Smash Bro's Brawl (MAJOR INFLUENCE)

Besides, I didn't have the money to buy it then anyway:):):)

but it looked really fun from the previews, and got a pretty good rating.(8.5 i think).

Also, I'm a hardcore sonic fan, so even if the game was mediocre(like Shadow the Hedgehog), I'm sure I'll somehow enjoy it.

I don't see what this has to do with Brawl in particular. There's still 3+ months before it hits shelves... plenty of time to snag a Wii for the savvy consumer.

Yeah I got to round up a Wii too. I got a scheme to get one 20% off thanks to my job. I'll have an stylish paper weight until Feb 10th. I may have to karate-punch someones grandmother out of the way if there is a line. She can play her stupid bowlin' game some other time.

its because Brawl will be the reason people will be buying a wii....the main reason.....and i can bet money on that!

Im a Sonic fan too(although not as much as others...but still)

its alright, dont get me wrong...but its not worth 50 bucks...

renting it is alot smarter...

I would suggest to wait for a used copy or a price drop...

the problem mainly is that there are too many unfair deaths and some missions are next to impossible to either complete or to complete with a good score...and theres a level-up system so yea...

if you live in Southern Florida I would gladly lend it to you...(or sell it to you...)

Its true they wont be boosting up Wii production for the holidays. The shortage basically causes more people to want it and it basically advertises for itself. Its clever from a marketing standpoint but it sucks for some people. If you don't have a Wii now all I can say is good luck. And if its just Brawl you want I'm sure there will be more available by the eve of release.

It's almost like Nintendo is the competitive company of this gen, they're doing everything in their power to make a quick buck. Too bad they don't think like that when it comes to smash, or any games for that matter, they are scrubs and competitives at the same time.

Actually I already have a 360 and I enjoy a much greater and varied library than is found on the Wii right now. I'll get a Wii when I get around to it. Believe it or not, Wii's and Brawl will be around for a while bud...
