The DSi LL will have better viewing angle so if looked from diffrent or in groups you will be able to see it better.
Can someone please explain to me when handheld gaming became a group activity?

Seriously, Nintendo.

Lawl, costs more than a Wii.
This is ridiculous. I laughed irl when I read this.

First I blamed the casual gamers.
Then I blamed the soccer moms.
Now I have to blame the old people?

Next we'll be blaming babies for the lack of decent Nintendo games...

"Introducing the new DS Jr.! Comes with a bib and a nipple to suck on when your baby gets hungry while playing on the go!"

They've milked this as much as they can. DSXL will be the short-lasting end to the DS as GBAMicro was to the GBA. Unless of course, we get a DS Advanced. What does DS stand for anyways?

Come on man, you telling me you never got annoyed trying to show your friend your pokemon when you were little, but getting the screen just right was a pain? I wish I had that 10 years ago.

I don't see why everyone is so surprised with this, I mean, does no one remember this?

This came out a year after the DS and I thought, why? Are they just trying to show off how small they can make it?

Nintendo milks the end of each handheld, so consider this a sign of the DSes end.

End of the DS? So the thing that has been topping sales charts for the last 5 years is just going to drop off because a big verion for the elderly comes out?

The DS is doing fine.

On the issue of the topic. I know I am not getting it. I am not elderly. I don't need a larger screen. However, I do wonder whether the elderly demographic really warrants a special release. It will be intersting to see how it sells.

I don't see why Nintendo needed to re-release the DSi with features it should have already had. I won't buy this, as my DS Lite is working great still.

My DS Lite is still working great. Plus it has GBA support. I see no need in upgrading to a new DS when the one I have is not only working fine, but is also more compatible than the newer version. Until GBA games aren't worth playing anymore, my current DS Lite will be the one sitting on my table.

Why can't Nintendo focus on software rather than hardware? Really a slap in the face when a new console announcement is only 7 months from the release date of the previous console.

Dual Screen.

Wait, wait, but if I'm using my DS to show off my Pokémon, then what in the world am I going to use PBR for?

Oh, we remember the Micro. We were just hoping Nintendo wouldn't make the same mistake twice.

Until GBA games aren't worth playing anymore, my current DS Lite will be the one sitting on my table.
Dude, Metroid Fusion. GBA games will ALWAYS be worth playing.

Gameboy Micro only advantage was it had different skins and the backlights were a little brighter than the new SP's. I won't recomend no one to get it unless they it's less than $15, lol.

Apparently GB Micros are $50-125 on Amazon.com ($50 used)...

Yeah, not spending that for a downgrade

I just think the 20th anniversary one looks cool.

until FINALLY we got the gameboy color.
First of all, that would make it the like, THIRD time.

Second of all, that's not an accurate comparison at all. It might help if you knew what those different renditions were instead of (I assume, as the screenshots are exactly the same) ripping them off of Wikipedia.

The red, "Play It Loud!" Game Boy was just the original Game Boy with different colors. In other words, it's no different from the color upgrades that we got recently for the standard DSi.

The Game Boy Pocket was not only smaller and more portable, but it decreased the amount of required batteries from the 4 of the GBO.

The Game Boy Light actually was quite useful, since it offered a backlight (so if you were arguing for it being useless, you'd be calling the SP useless too.) And no one but Japan ever got it, might I add.

Not to mention hundreds of thousands of exclusive games.

Come to think of it, since handhelds aren't region locked, you could theoretically import a Game Boy Light. It would just be really expensive.

...BAH. Now I really want to import a Game Boy Light.
