Original idea by mua
It seems to me that a lil trick i pulled out of my hat makes for a good mingame and a hard hitter too
Dash away from opponent, Jump (full single jump) in mid-air back-b (the danciong slash) now youre facing the opponent in the air and use Shield breaker or dair they wont see it coming, i use thi s and it is rly cool plz reply comments etc plz

Well, Marth's aerial game when above opponents isn't too great. That means using an over-B has a high chance of getting you hurt. Also, you could always use the reverse shield breaker by tapping the other direction before pressing B.

The over-B makes Marth "float" for a while, so it'll also make you more predictable. A better option would be a rising Bair to the move of your choice.

well thats the point they expect u to be floating (which you will) but with the arc or fair ,dair and Shield breaker will catch them when they come for you

Marth has a disjointed hitbox if you use that on the fair it will cancel out and w/ Shield break it will out prioritize

Samus' missile? Backwards airdodge? If it's Marth ditto, Counter (bad move but you know it's coming o_o)? Phantasm?

I mean, it might work one or two times but after a couple times it'll be obvious what yer up to o-o

The point of a mindgame is not to use it too much i know that and Byte is rite about rising bair but the point is if they pursue u Shield brek is really cool if you turn around fast enuff

This is not a good mindgame. Stop defending it.

If you really wanted to do shieldbreaker, you don't have to do a fb to change direction into it. Just tap the reverse direction, let the control stick return to neutral, and hit/charge b. Lookie, shieldbreaker in the opposite direction without needing to waste your float.

Cactaur, the point of the attack to turn around instead of just direction tapping is that is shadows over the next move and they have to guess whether to dodge or attack

You can't take a sequence of moves and call it a mindgame anyways, actual mindgames are spontaneous. Anyways, this is useless...great, you are way up high in the air and knocked your opponent either far out of combo range with the breaker, or you spiked them and they are on the ground + ready to attack before you are.

You do realize that a lot of players just wait to capitalize on landing lag from any aerial right? Who cares if you are coming down with any move...

Mindgame example: predicting your opponent's up B while edgeguarding.

Poor mindgame example: this move.

As wonnage says, mindgames are spontaneous. This is a series of moves that does not even add up to a combo. It's about as good as saying, "hey if you dash dance around a bit and cc into a random fsmash, your opponent might not see it".

WOW! You seem really good. Here's an E-mazing mindgame. Try dashing at the opponent then wavedashing back into an Fsmash. I made up this move fo sho.

when you do the shield breaker in the opposite direction you're already turned around. instead of people saying "Oh yeah you're float is being used FAIR* oh you're off the stage oh nozeeeeeeeee edge guard ^_^_^__^_^__^^" what a very happy sheik would say.

reverse shield breaker is faster and far more reliable use it, and stop trying to be fancy it doesn't work.
