Next Possible Third Party?

Now that Snake and Sonic have been confirmed finally confirmed, it raises questions on who the next Third Party Character could be. Here's who I think could be in:

1.Megaman
2.Crono
3.Bomberman
4.Sora
5.Knuckles

i hope megaman, but i really can't say. I know there are an abundance of 3rd party characters out there, and if this thread continues, you'll hear all of them with detailed essays as to why it should/will be them, but I just hope the blue bomber gets in. One of my favorite heroes, just like sonic

Though to make it fit we have to use the name of the main character

So Pit is 18

Sonic is 20

So using Megaman's japanese name "Rockman", it is possible Megaman could be in slot number 19

Geno was a big if for a while. With 3 Legends already in Brawl, it's doubtful that Geno (who no offense, isn't that popular) will get his opportunity. My money's on Megman, who is another legend.

Tails has no chance, i would like Crono, but if square lends a character i guess it would be someone else, so megaman sounds the most likely, but i still think he wouldnt fit that well cause he is already in other fighting games with a very different style... but yet again i didnt really think sonic would make it

Instead of Tails u shouldve put bomberman, he has more chances, but still, the one i would want is definetely Crono, i wouldve wanted to play as him again since Chrono Trigger, and that was a loooong time ago

I'll put them like this (Geno isn't counted since he is a third party character that starred with a 1st party character in his debut game):


1. Megaman (Classic, although I guess X, Legends and .EXE could be alternate costumes)
Megaman had more games come out for the NES then any other franchise. His spin-offs continue to appear on Nintendo handhelds and the occasional console. He'd fit Smash like a glove. WINNER!

2. Bomberman
As the only major 3rd party character to appear in a Nintendo game, Bomberman must be considered heavily.

3. Pac-Man
The third cog in the almighty wheel of Video Game mascots that transcend gaming. While he is very unlikely, I've always liked the idea of him being in, and his historic presence would be welcomed...

4. Ryu
Ryu would be cool, but is heavily unlikely, since he is already so identified with Street Fighter.
