Yesterday I received my newest issue of EGM magazine. I thumbed to the back of the magazine to see next month's feature. Sure enough, next month will feature a Brawl cover story. I'm aware that this is not real news, and that it most likely won't reveal anything new. That is the reason that I didn't post it last night.
Now I listen to a podcast called All Games Interactive (AGI). AGI is a daily live radio show about videogames and features a live chat room for the 2 hour daily show. Today, EGM editor Dan "Shoe" Hsu was being interviewed, and one of the chatters asked him about SSBB. He said that it's very similar to Melee, but he hasn't really played it too much. He then made mention of the cover issue. According to him, it will be in-depth about the features of Brawl, a look at the fan base and competitive scene, and will also have 16 Different Covers!!! Each cover will feature a different character.
Although this probably won't reveal anything new, I think it will be a very cool feature and a much bulkier article than most of the information we get from magazines (EGM cover stories are generally about 10 pages long.) Also the prospect of 16 different covers is very cool and a great idea.
Alright, just wanted to hear your thoughts. The interview with Hsu can be downloaded at www.allgames.com (just download the 12/12/07 edition of the All Games Interactive Podcast, episode #420. It can also be found on iTunes.)
