Newsletter?

I've been searching for any info on newsletters being created solely for the Wii message Board. So far, I've only found two and neither seems very worthwhile so far. Then I thought that maybe It would be pretty cool if there where a smashletter or something. You know, a weekday newsletter which would give the update from Smashbros.com .

It could be pretty cool, for example, It would come with the main update picture as an attachment and the Item's/Character's/Other's description as a body of text. and probably there would be room enough for other news pertaining to any number of things.

With this Newsletter idea in mind I thought of Smashboards...

I know it isn't needed but neither are alot of conveniences. Maybe someone could set this up and such. And along with Brawl updates, it could notify about tournies, Forum changes and other events...

You can't foreward the update forum to your Wii.

like I said, it's for simple convenience.

sometime's my Wii's connection is scetchy and i can't always get to the updates right away.

also, it would be nice to see the latest Brawl update on the message board.

this is just an idea and is up for rejection as well as promotion.

No offense, but that is practically what Takeshi245 said...

The reason behind a newsletter is for people to be able to wake up, open their Wii Mail, and see said update.

Of course Most people who connect their Wiis to the internet can easily go to the Smash Bros website as well as the SmashBoards forums but this just makes it simple and fast.

I realize alot of people will decide that it isn't needed and therefore shouldn't be done, however I believe it is an easier way to make big announcements to the Wii/Smashboard community.

Like I said, it is merely an idea up for debate. I just was interested in seeing how many people would support such a thing, maybe give a few Ideas, and why others may not support it.

See, this is why you buy the Wii Internet Channel, and go to The Dojo from there.
If you really want updates on your Wii so badly, that's the place to go.

I wouldn't go for this idea, as really, Youko's Podcast is the ulitmate Newsletter, if you havn't listened to him before, you need too.

I like the idea, but it is just a minor time saver..

I doub't anyone is gonna take that much of their time to save you 5 minutes (or less) of yours.

It will probably get set up around december =\
