New to brawl

I don't understand how to use Sheik in Brawl. Can someone tell me like general approaches and stuff. I used to use her in melee, but I just don't understand how to use her in brawl.

What're some general good tactics? Like, should I be dsmashing a lot...or..?

Search the boards. You're an 05 joiner, you should know how this works. You can't ask something so general as that.

Usually people know what general moves are decent to use. Like, in Melee, her tilt and grab game were really good.

So then her only good move in Brawl is her ftilt? So only spam that?

every move is good. there isnt a bad move. you may find that certain moves are better in situations then other moves but it doesnt mean they are not good.

to be good dont ignore any aspect of your characters ability. =D

I tried sheik in brawl, but I didn't like her. Her dair is stupid now in my opinion

I think if you're brand new to brawl and want a nice rounded character who can do well and has a similar feel to Sheik, go with Zero Suit Samus.

she is at least more suited with Brawl's Engine.

edit: you must short hop Dair on a regular basis to be good with Sheik, everyone knows that.

Lol, I'm not really new to Brawl. I should've said new to Sheik, haha. I used to play Brawl, then I stopped for a while, now I'm thinking about playing it again, but not really sure.

1. always keep needles charged

2. practice against lvl 9 cpus (this is how i learned how to play brawl)

since they are random, they actually put up a fight. this is if you want to multi-stock them. set your own standard, 3-stock, 4-stock, or 5-stock without losing a life. i'd recommend these cpu's for sheik

- snake (very easy. helps u learn sheik's combos and attack patterns)
- marth (easy. helps u learn basic edgeguarding and spacing)
- luigi (medium. teaches you how to stop attacking, and start camping with bair/needles)
- metaknight (hard. teaches you to play perfectly and focus on execution)
- peach (very hard. lvl 9 peach is fast and has priority)
- pikachu (omfg lvl 9 pikachu is so good once he adapts to your character. extremely hard for me to 5-stock, in fact i haven't even succeeded yet. very different from human pikachus, you'll have fun with him.)

3. play against ppl for mindgamez and exp, go to tournament

4. read all the info on this board and maybe watch some videos (you dont really need to watch videos to get good with sheik, but ryoko, ankoku, and gimpy are all pretty good if u want some ideas. dont watch my videos, they are really old)
