Eggman rocks my world. Who wants some whiny pretty boy like Sephiroth, when you can have a crazy, pissed off fat guy who puts his face on the side of his own death star?

I actually would prefer Eggman to any other Sonic character (though I would be happy with any new Sonic inclusions).

And for good measure, my Eggman moveset.

DR. EGGMAN
Gimmick: Dr. Eggman fights while in his trusty Eggmobile. The design of the Eggmobile is taken after Sonic Battle, where it is more compact, has the same color scheme as Eggman himself (making alternate colors easier to make), and has two cannons loaded at the base to work for part of the moveset. He is given multiple jumps and an ability to float like Peach in exchange for an Up Special recovery.

ALSO, he cannot be grabbed by normal grabs. He can still be grabbed by special moves like the Falcon Dive and Flying Slam. And he can be Inhaled by Kirby and DDD.

Neutral Combo: Shoots a small missile out of the left cannon, then the right. Keeps going for how many times the player presses the button. Yes, this has insane range, but the missiles lack decent knockback and strength.

Forward Tilt: A boxing glove on a spring pops out in front of the Eggmobile, similar to the Egg Walker’s close range attack in Sonic Adventure 2.

Dash Attack: A drill pops out in front of the Eggmobile, similar to the first Drill Car in Sonic 2, while Eggman charges forward.

Up Tilt: Eggman swats above with his arm.

Down Tilt: An electrical prod pops out in front of the Eggmobile near the bottom.

Forward Smash: A giant hammer pops out in front of the Eggmobile and it slams down in front of it.

Up Smash: Two drill arms pop out at the sides of the Eggmobile, and propel upwards, drilling opponents.

Down Smash: Two circular saws form at the sides of the Eggmobile near the bottom and spin around the machine, hitting both sides.

Neutral Air: Electric field (similar to Mewtwo)

Forward Air: Flamethrower burst with the two cannons.

Back Air: A mechanical boot pops out of the back of the Eggmobile and kicks.

Up Air: Eggman shows a display of fighting capability and strength by punching upwards twice.

Down Air: A spike pops out at the bottom of the Eggmobile, and Eggman falls, attempting to prick opponent below.

Grab: Two smaller versions of the arms from Big Arm from Sonic 3 form on the sides of the Eggmobile, and he grabs with the hands.

Pummel: He crushes the opponent in the hands.

Forward Throw: Overhead flings the opponent forward.

Up Throw: Flings the opponent upward.

Back Throw: Turns and lets go the opponent, flinging them.

Down Throw: Rises, then slams the opponent down, and lets go.

Neutral Special: Egg Bombs-Eggman tosses three bombs forward at a downward arch, each being a pace apart from the last. (Taken from Sonic the Fighters)

Forward Special: Bumper Arms-Two Bumper Arms pop out the sides of the Eggmobile, and propel forward, one arm at a time. This pushes opponents back, and reflects projectiles. This is similar to Sonic CD’s first boss.

Up Special: Missile Launcher-A missile launcher pops out of the back of the Eggmobile, and strong missiles are launched to the sky and fly towards opponents. (Taken from Sonic Adventure 2)

Down Special: Wrecking Ball-Eggman flies up a few paces (if in the air, he doesn’t) then drops down a miniature wrecking ball from the bottom of the Eggmobile. For a few seconds, he can hover in place and move back and forth, which swings the wrecking ball. When the attack is over, he goes into helpless state.

Final Smash: Death Egg Robot-Eggman flies up off the screen and comes crashing down in the Death Egg Robot. Whichever way Eggman was facing will be the way the DER will be facing, and it can’t turn around. In it, he is able to walk around to run into opponents and shoot the arms of the robot forward. He can also jump. HIGH.

So, what do you think? Decent? Needs work? Give me constructive criticism, please.

EDIT: "How would he use items?" is a question that I'm surprised it wasn't asked. Anyways, to use items, a robot claw like one of the ones from his Sonic the Fighters mech pops out of the side of the Eggmobile to hold on to items and use weapons.
Here ya go.

That's actually really good. It's interesting because I always pictured him appearing in the Egg Walker, but this works well too. I also had an idea for a Final Smash where he summons a bombardment from the Egg Fleet, but getting to control the Death Egg Robot would be even better!

Its too bad there is only one FS at a time. Death Egg Robot vs Giga Bowser would be EPIC.

Ugh, I had a medium-length post for Golden's moveset but I lost my work cause I couldn't access the site for some reason :ohwell:

Well, the moveset was as badass as it was when I first read it, anyway, I only really had a few small concerns about it

Speaking of that, Kolorado, that would make for a good event. A bunch of Final Smash Super Transformations against each other would be BADASS

Says the one that wants generic bounty hunters. :p

EDIT: Slime's better than that overrated Zatch Bell reject that we know as Geno.
...Didn't Zatch Bell come later than Geno?

Also, agreed though. Slime is indeed more well known. Geno's still pretty obscure. Yes, SMRPG is still the most obscure Mario-based rpg in Mario game history, sorry to say.

Also, we could get a FF character too. I'm leaning towards Black or White Mage if possible. Maybe Chocobo/Moogle team-up.

Geno's honestly way later than regular Squeenix characters. Also, Mallow's just as awesome.

Well I'm glad that wasn't just me then. I couldn't get on the site and figured by the time I did the conversation would move on to something else like Impa or what the Pokemon Trainer's name is again, lol.

But yes, that would be an awesome event. I'm suprised that didn't happen in Brawl. Someone on here suggested that there be two Final Smashes. One would be a transformation and one would be more cinematic. That would be cool, and maybe multiple transformations could happen at once.

Diverse races and diverse backstories ain't generic. Unlike a blob with a smiley face on it.
Tell that to Yoshi. You play as multiple versions of him. He's generic as hell, especially since Yoshi's story. He's in.

Also, do you know how many different Slime races there are? For that matter, did you know that there is more than one Slime with their own diverse backstory? Rocket Slime proves that wrong once again.

Now you're informed.

It's too bad that they won't pull from other media. Otherwise we could get Metal Robotnik from the Sonic movie! Seriously, check this out, it shoots projectiles from its ***! It's about 1:13 in.

Stop ignoring the context before you post.

The "generic" crap doesn't cut it for Smash. I used to think that too, but then I realized that generic doesn't matter. As long as they aren't going to essentially be clones of someone else because they're generic, they can easily get in and there's no reason not to put them in.

I'm not ignoring anything do not accuse me of such. This had nothing to do with you and it was against me too. Your comment doesn't change that.

No, I joined the conversation by pointing out the flaw in your logic. So why aren't you attacking my argument and why are you attacking me instead? In other words, knock it off.

The old sonic cartoon has a certain likeness to it..
The old sonic cartoon was awesome. They should make a Smash spin off for all the cartoon versions of the characters: Jaleel White Sonic, Lou Albano Mario, "Excuuuuuse Me, Princess" Link.

I'm telling you to knock it off, He was calling the hunters generic, And I was calling the slimes generic inturn. Me and Entei didn't know the character concept of the games we were going against, And they were both pointed out.

Nothing you said changed that.

I love Sonic 3 and Knuckles sooooo much
That is still my all time favorite Sonic game. Long levels, multiple character choices, and music inspired by Michael Jackson. What's not to love?

Part of me wishes that Sonic was a Nintendo character just so that we could get more characters and stages from the franchise in Smash. Casino Night, Angel Island, Death Egg... I want them all!

Wasn't a song in sonic 06 MJ also had a part in? I heard something like that.

No, your key problem with the Slime was that he was generic. He pointed out the same problem with your argument after you spoke of it. It was the other way around.

Fact of the matter is, people will point out the same thing.

Slime is no more generic than the Hunters. Since neither is generic, there is no problem on that front. The only problem with the Hunters is that there are far more important overall characters that could come first. They're small fries in the series. Honestly, I'd put them at Goomba status for how important they are at this point. Metroids are more key to the series, and they're generic too.(and actually generic save one particular one)

Really? I will have to look into that. Sonic 06 came out before I had a 360 to play it, so it kind of flew under my radar.

We could have Veronica Taylor Ash... I mean Pokemon Trainer in there too haha
Hahaha! How could I forget her. They could have the "Name That Pokemon" between matches. And then at the end, Sonic could come out and talk about the dangers of smoking. Add in the Mario live segments and we have a game! ;)

I didn't know the story behind the slimes, And he didn't know about the hunters. I still don't know about the slimes but if they got some elaborate backstory then so be it, But all of the hunters do as well. Its as simple as that. And Goomba status for one of the best DS games that got multiple awards? and top notch ratings? Please..

All I said was slime would be a terrible character, I don't know what movesets you could give to that thing. It ain't no kirby. Again this was our ignorance.

Lets just drop it now, This ain't going anywhere.

You should probably give up on this debate now. Even if you are right HyperFalcon won't stop untill he gets the last word. I'm a newbie, but I was still witness to an arguement between HyperFalcon and Breadbug that lasted for like 10 pages before Breadbug just gave up out of pure exhaustion.

You fail to realize how popular the Goomba is. It's the most popular Mario enemy, well, ever. It's iconic. I'm talking about in-game status. You know, how important the Hunters are overall to the series. That... list is small. They're not that important as you're making them.

All I said was slime would be a terrible character, I don't know what movesets you could give to that thing. It ain't no kirby. Again this was our ignorance.
Think Mr. Game & Watch for a moment. He pulls attacks out of his *** just like Slime would. Slime can create limbs for moves. Or like The Blob from Clayfighter. Or use magic. Limbs only seem like a problem at best. But everything else? Not a problem.

Lets just drop it now, This ain't going anywhere.
People are annoyed that you don't accept that you made a mistake when you made an ignorant statement. Just apologize when you do. Easy. We all make ignorant statements. Stop trying to get out of your mistakes and just accept them. It happens.

A second Sonic rep does sound very tempting indeed! Dr. Eggman would definitely be an interesting character though I prefer to see Tails playable over him (though I still do like the Eggman idea).

Tails, Eggman, and even Knuckles all sound like very good candidates for SSB4 if a second Sonic rep was to be considered. On the other hand, I would be rather disappointed if they considered Shadow over the the other 3 (if a Sonic rep was considered). To be honest, I never really saw the appeal of Shadow...

No I think you are annoyed, This had nothing to do with you. It was a smear job on both sides. He didn't know anything about the hunters and I slimes ect, Now its over.

You are one digging for more elaborate purpose.

P.S. Metroid prime hunters was the only metroid on the ds besides pinball, And it also got top notch ratings and great praise for how the game look and how it played.
And they are pretty significant if there only appearance got ratings like that.
It doesn't matter they didn't effect the overall story, It sold damn well and got damn good ratings, This is why part of me is certain one will make it into SSB4. Hell they even had the time to make full trophys of all the hunters in great detail just for brawl and it was named Best DS Action Game of 2006.

I like Shadow, but he is too similar to Sonic for me to want him playable. Tails wins for pure relevance, being Sonic's sidekick since Sonic 2. Knuckles seems easiest to implement, given that he is already a fighter. But Eggman I think would offer the most unique moveset, which is why I would love to have him.

Given the plot for the upcoming Sonic 4: Episode II, maybe we will see Metal Sonic in some fashion, even if only as an assist trophy.
