New olimar player

So i just picked olimar couple days ago and i really love his playstyle. so i decided to main him i already som of the guides here and master the d-throw f-air combo's. and so im wondering anything else i should be working on? and whats the best way to avoid getting edgeguarded ?. thx in advance
btw forget to add i mastered the whistle armor.

Learn all the Dthrow combos (not just dthrow-fair, but also dthrow combos with fsmashes and usmashes which can be devastating on several characters and give you a better angle to work with when you're done. You can look these up in most Olimar combo videos but the variations are endless so just find out whatever works best for you), master pivot grabbing (preferably dash attack cancelled pivot grabs, the range is insane), practice your aim with sideB.

Also, recovering... There's a topic on recovery somewhere around here but it might be somewhere at the second page. I'll look for it and edit this post later with the link.

Dthrow-dthrow-dthrow then fair.

upb is also an amazing move on stage
to finish combos, get kills, and stop approaches.

great range and insane priority (as in it goes through EVERYTHING)

Pivot grabbing is basically just turning around during a dash and immediately grab. There's a bit more to the dash attack cancelled grab though. You can look it up in the AT compendium in the tactical discussion section.

ANYWAY, before you guys all went off topic, welcome to the oli boards, we are all very kind here. except me, i can be a douche sometimes but you'll learn to love it

learn to WAC as well as it helps tons with recovery and kills

learn to love your nair and utilt; they both break sheilds exceptionally well. If you do catch someone with a nair then make sure to fastfall into the ground to autocancel the last hit (with knockback). If you do this then you can instantly catch them in an utilt for extra damage or usmash/dsmash for a kill. It comes in handy a lot.

learn to play well with nolimar (pikminless olimar), as you will find that sometimes the little buggers will abandon you. It also helps you to learn to vary your playstyle by tilting more often.

Also when you are practicing using upb offensively, short hop it and then fastfall back to the ground and you will land lagless. It also works well if you upb up onto a ledge. If you upb while grounded it is very laggy and punishable.

Rule of Olimar

1.Always spam(unless for certain Char.)
2.Learn the distance of your tether with five pikmin
3.Always have 5 pikmin on you
4.Learn how to use Olimar's super armor effectively(aka Down B)
5.Olimars grabs are ridiculous and can even grab MK out of tornado(although most know that)
