New lightning glitch with Pikachu and Sheik?

Hey guys. My brother KeepSpeedN and I were just enjoying some friendlies when this happened. Has anyone seen this before? Is this a new glitch? I'm not sure if this is stage subjective to battlefield, but if someone could try and recreate this and explain it that would be awesome.

Were you playing on console or an emulator? If you were playing on Dolphin, this could just be an emulation bug.

Sheik is not necessary at all. Pikachu's thunder jolt does this any time it hits a corner directly. Axe has done it in tournament before.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Just wanted to make sure I got it on tape in case it was something new. I'll be putting the video on private now.
