Congratulations, Min Min! ARMS character(s) for Smash discussion

There was a split second of footage in the ARMS direct where Hedlok, the boss in the test punch, was on the final boss' body.

Also, Hedlok would prove to be an interesting boss in Smash.

Or failing that, a cool assist trophy.

They are the LONG ARM of the law. More metaphorical than the others...

I mentioned it in another thread, but if we only got one ARMS character, they could make Ribbon Girl, Min Min, and Ninjara costumes for Spring Man in the same vein as the Koopalings for Bowser Junior. I wouldn't like it but it would work and represent the ability for any character to use any of the arms in the game.

Nope, because unlike Spring Man, Ribbon Girl has multiple jumps, Min Min can kick and Ninjara can teleport.

At this point I just want all ten fighters to be playable in Smash but ehh, won't happen. Still changed my vote from Spring Man to Helix because I want this cutie in more than anyone else.

That would likely have to be the best case scenario.

As likable as all the characters are, you just can't have the full roster of them in the game (as in more than one character). Then there's possibility of people complaining about ARMS bias in Smash.

That's the thing with costumes. Even the Koopalings did their own unique things differently from Bowser Junior but are all shoved into his clown car. That's why I see it happening with those three because they fit Spring Man's body type to work as costumes. (Although I'd prefer them to be referenced via colors instead)

That is true. We can never forget about the infamous "Fire Emblem bias" that Smash has.

Although ARMS happens to be a new IP and some would say that only one or two would be generous enough. At least it's a fighting game with plenty of unique characters to choose from, few being clone potential.

It also helps that every character has access to all the arms. So movesets can be unique for all of them if we got multiple.

I'm pretty sure there will be at least 3 ARMS characters in Smash (just a guess). If that's not the case, I'd like a character similar to Olimar and Alph (where there is two models with different alts), that would also be really cool.

Two is good enough. We would be lucky if we get that number.

But 4 is beyond crazy in terms of expectations. Unless you wait for Smash 6. Or if ARMS survives as a franchise that long.

I'd be happy at 2, concerned at any more. Unless Splatoon has Inkling Boy and Girl as separate characters along with Callie, Marie, Cap'n Cuttlefish and Moe. Then it's open season.

This is sad news for those who would like the idea of Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece as a guest character in ARMS. But we all know licensing issues could be another big factor that prevents the rubbery pirate from being there.

I guess that narrows down the list of non-Nintendo characters that would be fitting ARMS guests for the future. This is taken from an official Game Informer interview before anyone asks for the source.

Famitsu gave ARMS a decent score of 33/40, which is the same score the likes of Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE had.

ARMS reviews are rolling in, most of them are either average or decent (or mixed at worst). The most common scores for the game would be 80's and 8/10's with few being higher (90) or lower (60). With a Metacritic score like 78%, it's not too bad given Splatoon received similar scores for being incomplete at first.

Man, Twintelle is really moving up faster than I expected. Not saying I'd want her in Smash over the likes of, say, Spring Man or Ribbon Girl (or MinMin and/or Mechanica by extension), but good on her.

No. Too early. Even for smash 7 i think 2 or 3 from arms is enough. Simply due to arms being another fighting franchise from nintendo and i feel Arms should be popular enough on its own.. But ATs ect are cool.

i guess whatever they went for itd have a similar layout, spring man's would have bouncing plaforms at the side, master mummy's would have a bouncing part in the middle, helix's would have those breakable containers, ribbon girl's would have those cubes as platforms, min min's would dip in the middle, kid cobra's would have those spinning top things

cant think what the other characters stages are like
