Hey all, MLG Anaheim is approaching quickly and after the success that was Meadowlands, Columbus, and Dallas, a lot of hype is piling up for this event. Also, with that success, MLG is considering using it to hype a *NEW* game that could be added to the professional circuit. Super Smash Bros. Brawl! MLG has noticed the growing community on Smashboards and out in the real world, including growing number of entrants for events, sponsors, and cash prizes. Now it is time for MLG to expand the community even further!
MLG Anaheim will host one or two Super Smash Bros. Brawl events depending on time constraints, and turnout. As of right now, only Brawl Singles is likely to happen. But don't be disappointed, because MLG could be giving away up to $3,000 in cash prizes if more than 64 people enter!
Lastly, it should be noted that this is not 100% confirmed. Super Smash Bros. Brawl does not yet have full support from all of MLG's sponsors even though MLG itself does see the potential in adding a new game to the circuit. With that being said, the exact date of the SSBB tourny, the date of registration, and the rules of the tournament are not yet official.

MLG is aware this news is being announced very close to the date of MLG Anaheim. However, chances are looking good for this happening.

Registeration: Regestiration will be taken at the Super Smash Bros. Brawl station at the Anaheim Convention Center, for free! However you will have to buy a spectator pass to get in which you can purchase here. Spectator passes on sale here!
Rules: MLG has expressed before that we like to help expand the community, not change it. Therefor, the rules for the Brawl Singles tournament will be exactly the same as the official ruleset found right here on Smashboards. The only exception is that the stock timer will be set to 6 minutes to help speed up the tournament. The rest of the rule set can be found here! MLG Brawl Singles Rules
