So recently Cali had the big Fight Night card at Campbell X, and overall they have been hyping alot of things up and just creating alot of great things. What can we do over here to become equal to this? If we had our own fight card, I think that would be amazing. Or really hype crew battles, and also alot more streaming in general. Sorry for my lack of depth in this, but I will join and encourage any ideas put forth in anyway I can.

I was thinking of trying out an EC Invitational for High-ranked players in our area. I think that would be an awesome to watch. The downside, as I've spoken to other people, is the difficulty to fund these events.

What would they do there? Is it like a tournament/smashfest?

I think the easiest way to do this is to work with a venue that is willing to do this. Or POSSIBLY have every so often just 2-3 matches ( like a fight card ) and have them do a MM or something. Do not FORCE it. Just see if players want to do that.

If you do something like a Curleh Mustache it is great idea but the problem is getting all the people to come down. Also, invite tournaments in general, should not be exclusive. An idea I saw is have a play-in tournament.

Let's say you do a 16-man invite only. Take 2-4 spots and use them as what people would win for the play-in bracekt.

Venues that WOULD do it would be

- The Break ( Free venue based on talks with Jaxel )
- Local Battles
- Yestercades
- Digital Press

Those are a few NJ venues that can have the space enough to do so. You can TRY rutgers but you have to really do research and speak to Keitaro and others.

Another thing to consider is who will stream it. Talking to Chibo and others to make sure they are ABLE to. Would this be on a Saturday ONLY or on a weekday.

Have pride matches and/or money matches take place when doubles is finishing up.

I would be down for these all day after APEX with almost anyone in our region and I'm sure others would be down. I honestly think a PR would encourage this sort of thing and was thinking about doing one for NE until Matt left.

Crew battles seem cool but there aren't really any crews in Tristate. When it comes to NE I immediately think CT vs ME which I want to do at the next NE tourney. Pretty much all my ideas work for NE but not for Tristate. :/
