New game mechanic- aerial clanking or airdodge cancelling?

Megaman's fire attack seems to be an article, aka a projectile, similar to Zero Suit Samus' Nair. This allows it to be clanked even though aerial attacks typically aren't clankable.

To be honest, I wouldn't mind either:

1) Air Clashing added, or
2) Clashing removed in general.

Just seem ridiculous that they'd try to have both systems (more traditional fighter-type trades/wins on attacks in the air, but a hitbox-to-hitbox clash in the ground game) at once. If I'm thinking right, this is why Meta Knight was so broken in Brawl; once he went airborne, he became a massive ball of priority that beat out pretty much everything. At that point, it doesn't matter if you die in one hit, if you can't ever GET hit, you'll still win.
