This is a community poll, so it is a pretty good indication of what the community wants. A majority of Sonic fans might want Shadow, but a majority of Smash fans do not. The percents are an indication of percent of people who want him. Which is very low. In fact, the lowest in the poll.
I know! even though this isn't a SEGA game, I would still love 3 of Sonic's friends to join the fray with him. But thats never going to happen considering Sonic's alt colors.

And isn't interesting that everywhere else, like YouTube and other sites, want Shadow really bad! Now I know for sure that he isn't going to happen:/
Shadow is a popular choice among most casual Brawl modders and some Sonic fans, but he isn't a favorable choice in this community in particular. Project M's community is a lot more specific of a community catering mostly to Competitive Smash fans. Which most of them seem to be against Sonic characters in general.
Just as a fair warning. We are not to speak of Project M leaks in this thread. It is disrespectful to the PMDT.

Why would PM add Sonic characters now, now that Shadow, Silver, Tails, Knuclkes are Alts? That doesn't make any sense, to me...
Regardless of how you feel on this matter, it is best to keep quiet about things you hear or see about. The PMDT has already asked us once to not even bring up the topic of leaks, and I feel we should respect that request here.
Pretty much this. They added the costumes as a way of appealing to fans of those characters. Poor service imho, but I'll take it. It can be summed up as those characters being deconfirmed.
It's sad.. You know much some of us all love those characters... Oh well! There are more important characters for PM to add...if they so choose.
I think it's more along the lines of "Why would they any more Sonic characters in general?" and not really "Well Soonic has a yellow color swap so no Tails."

To be fair that's not really a fair comparison since most people expect Isaac to have an Earth based move set with the sword only being used for a few normals or not at all. Also, Pichu and Shadowdorf don't really have anything to do with this aside from you just not liking them. Unless someone wanted Ganon to get a sword, but bashed Lyn for having a sword. Though I agree that downvoting someone because they use a sword is dumb.
