Most people would probably think that Team Rocket only appeared in the anime, but they also appeared in Pokemon: Special Pikachu Edition (a.k.a. Pokemon Yellow) and Pokemon Puzzle League.

And would Team Rocket include their Meowth or not? Meowth doesn't speak like humans in the Japanese version of the anime.
They originated in the anime. SSB has characters who originated in video games. That's like adding King Dedede's snail friend from the Kirby anime. Even though he originated in an anime based off of a video game doesn't make him a video game character.

As for Todd, I say no. Only pokemon as playable characters. However, did Todd originate in the anime or Pokemon Snap? Or was his anime appearences just advertising Pokemon Snap? If those episodes where ads, then he can be considered a video game character and not anime.

Oh no, Todd is going to blind me with his camera,
then throw a pester ball at my face,
then lull me to sleep with his Pokeflute,
then shove an apple down my throat,
then run over my motionless corpse in his ZERO-ONE.

I'm starting to worry about some of you people.

Well, he is the most likely human Pokemon character. Easily. However, I still don't think he has much of chance.

However, a message to all you naysayers about Pokemon Snap. That was a ****ing awesome game, so shame on you!

I liked Pokemon Snap, I'm just doubting the idea of Todd in Brawl.

Apparently, someone thought that the ZERO-ONE was more deserving to be put as a trophy and not it's rider in Melee. Now that's a shame.

This is non-sense... how can this character even make it... and you have a lot of spare time to come up with all of this.
You didn't even read the original post did you?

If you aren't going to contribute to a topic then don't bump it up out of nowhere.

I mean, I hate to be a mini mod or whatever, but this is really annoying me.

I can't see Todd making it in, though. Pokemon Snap is like 7 or 8 years old and most people have forgotten about it.

I had to do it. I like a challenge and this one pushed me. I don't really want him for Brawl, but I got bored, so here you go. He's in the Zero-ONE, so he's a very big character overall, and due to the Dash Engine, quite fast, but agile as molasses. Also, his first and second jumps aren't really very good, cause they're laggy.

Name: Todd Snap
Age: Unknown
Developer: HAL Laboratories
First Appearance: Pokemon Snap
Other Notable Appearances: None

Height: 4/5
Weight: 3/5
Attack Power: 3/5
Grab Range: 2/5
Running Speed: 3/5
Jump: 2/5
Falling Speed: 4/5

Regular Attacks:

A: Tripod Jab (1-2%)

AA: Tripod Stab (2-3%)

AAA: Bumper Bump (Medium knockback. 5-6%)

Dash A: Dash Engine (The Zero-ONE accelerates rapidly and rolls someone down. 10-15%)

F Tilt: Pokemon Food (Todd throws an apple. 6-8%)

D Tilt: Jet Wash (The Zero-ONE jets pop out near the wheels and flare flame forwards and down, splashing the ground around Todd. Little knockback, but is similar to a Fire Flower, as you can continue to fire it. 2-5% per half second.)

U Tilt: Suspension (The Zero-ONE settles slightly and then bounces up a little, hitting anyone in a short range above it for light knockback. 8-10%)

F Smash: Fender Bender (The Zero-ONE accelerates very abruptly and stops just as suddenly, striking anyone in front of it for good knockback and damage. 18-24%)

U Smash: Wheelie (The Zero-ONE tips backwards, the front end coming up rapidly to strike the opponent on the chin and knock them upwards. 13-17%)

D Smash: Spin-Out (The Zero-ONE spins completely around, striking everyone around it and sending them a moderate distance. 15-22%)

Aerial Attacks:

N Air: Pokemon Food (Todd just throws more apples. Cause he’s a prick. 1-4%)

F Air: Spiraller (The Zero-ONE goes out of control, spiralling forward and down rapidly. Anyone hit on the sweet spot just below the front of the Zero-ONE gets a Meteor Slam. 10-15%)

B Air: Dash Washout (The Dash Engine activates as the thrusters tilt, spraying anyone behind Todd with heated backwash. Very little knockback. 8-12%)

U Air: Jet Thrusters (The Zero-ONE shoots upwards, smacking anyone above it hard and sending them skywards, as well as providing what is essentially a third jump, albeit a very short one. 12-14%)

D Air: Shutdown (The thrusters cut out and the Zero-ONE drops. Anyone it hits gets forced down, and if it lands on someone, it’s more pain for them. However, it’s very hard to recover from this move. 6-9%, 10% more if crushed,)

Special Attacks:

B: Photo Shoot (Todd takes a photo of the area in front of him, dazzling anyone in front of him at a short range with his flash. Those stunned by the flash are incapable of acting for two-three seconds, and then immune for an equal length of time. Todd can take one photo per second.)

Forward B: Pester Ball (Todd throws a Pester ball a reasonable distance ahead of him. If it hits an opponent, it will spread a very small area of damaging aroma. If other opponents get into the aroma, it will slowly damage them. 5-8%, 1-2% damage per half second for two seconds after.)

Up B: Teleporter (The Zero-ONE uses a portal to teleport away, just like at the end of each course in Snap. You can vaguely guide where it’ll end up, as it becomes a stream of electron-like particles that move very far, but very quickly.)

Down B: Poke-Flute (Todd plays the Poke-Flute, and after a slight lag a Snorlax flops down from the top of the screen, just like the Pokeball from SSB64, but slightly smaller and less damaging. 13-17%)

Final Smash: Rainbow Cloud (The six pokemon signs flash on screen in the manner of constellations and then the whole stage temporarily turns into Rainbow Cloud. During this time, Mew floats around chasing her shield bubble, which tends to zoom towards characters and hit them for reasonable damage.)

Grapple Attacks:

Grab: Camera Strap (Todd hooks a target with his camera strap and pulls them in, against the Zero-ONE)

Grab Attack: Unipod Prod (Todd pokes the captured foe with a unipod. 2-5%)

F Throw: Burn Out (A charge-up throw, as long as the throw button is held while you push forward, the wheels spin, kicking up clouds of dust that gradually expand to obscure more and more of the stage [to a moderate limit] and when you let go, the character and Zero-ONE both shoot forward, dependant on charging time, up to five seconds. 5% per second charged.)

B Throw: Backtrack (The character is dropped and the Zero-ONE drives over him/her/it, catching them in the wheels and flicking them out backwards underneath it. 10-12%)

U Throw: Dash Dart (The Dash Engine builds up for a moment and then directs down as the Jet Thrusters pop out and both Zero-ONE and foe get hit right up. 4-10%)

D Throw: Pontoon (The character is dropped under the Zero-ONE and the giant pontoons flick out, crushing the character beneath them. 12-18%)

Special Moves:

B: Camera Flash (pulls out his camera with the flasher turned on, and flashes it at his opponent. It creates the same effect as Mewtwo's Down+B move, Confusion, but the range is a bit longer and wider.)

Forward+B: Pester Ball (once Todd hits an opponent with it, it will spread a very small area of damaging aroma. If other opponents get into the aroma, it will slowly damage them as much as being magnified.)

Down+B: Apple (sounds strange, but once you hit your opponent with it, it will give them 6% of damage. After it hits his opponent, it will not be reusable, but it will be edible, healing you 3%.)

Up+B: Oak's Teleporter (this is what Todd used to enter places. Like Pichu's and Mewtwo's Up+B moves, it doesn't damage anyone.)

Extreme Attack: Pokeflute (Uses it to wake and call Snorlax. Then Snorlax would expand it's body and fall on opponents.)

Taunt: Strikes his pose in the third picture, while he shouts, "YES!". (He really did say "YES!" in the game itself.)

Entrance: Todd uses Oak's Teleporter.
That moveset t's outrageous! He doesn't have a chance anyway, not with Red confirmed.

If any of you don't want Todd in, then don't post in this thread or it will cause others to keep this thread active by posting mostly negative comments.

And every time I see anyone from Naruto or Family Guy, it makes me picture Naruto and Peter Griffin shooting a bird/giving a finger at each other while shouting "I'm greater than you!"

Stop being so harsh, vesperview, or I call you what Mexicans refer to Guatemalans as. Pokemon Trainer didn't say I failed, YOU actually showed a picture of him in SSBB while you said I failed. I already knew he was in. This thread was created WAY back before the first SSBB web site update was revealed.

Long before Pokemon Trainer was revealed, I thought about imagining him being in SSBB, while I thought "Dead blame it! My Todd idea isn't as good as Pokemon Trainer! GAAAH!!!"

I'm going to say this again:

Leave this thread idle, I stopped supporting Todd WAY before Pokemon Trainer was revealed.

Even though parrothead no longer supports Todd, I say he would be a good choice as a human Pokemon character since he did started out at a game and with a name. And guys, seriously stop picking with parrothead.
