He's one of the ref's. Because it's in Game Modes, it's gonna be a co-op story, as this guy appeared when Mario and Kirby stopped fighting and broke the rules.

noo its obv~ the enimy, thats the opening scene to the game they wouldmt make a huge dramatic moment with an evil space craft and purple lunch box to introduce a referee that will have no point in the game.

The purple thing, in my opinion, is just a flunky, on the level of a fighting wire frame. The reason for this is his design isn’t that of a final boss, and he’s also another fighter made out of things related to video games. What kinds of things you ask?

Nintendo systems. Old Nintendo systems.

His hat is a SNES, his face is a GCN, his scarf is a Fanicom, and his body is the top side of a N64.

He doesn't look like a major villian. I thought that perhaps *it* could be replacing those wire frames and u battle multitudes of them.

he looks as though some one made him. not like a bought toy or model, but maybe the master made these weird sock monkey robots. which wouold explain their looks which to me look like its made of spare parts.

Maybe this guy will be amazing and just destroy, i mean sure he looks all cute and nieve and easy to kill. But what if his final smash just takes everyone by surprise and like 4 more of him come out and combine to make this uber "I will destroy your familiessssss" boss. I mean, never judge a book (in this case a character) by its cover.

anyone else have a feeling we won't get any explaination about that thing? Just go up and fight it, expected to know where it came from? Like in melee/64, you just have to fight a bunch of wireframes/polygons, no explaination whatsoever?

also there's a thread to come up with a name for this thing

no i think theres going to be much more story in this game where they reveal the basis of the game. i dont think there going to leave anything unexplained here
