Sakurai talks about breaking the rules, right? Maybe this is the kid who acts as
crazy hand
in melee, it looks sorta crazy! Discuss what you think it may be... IF YOU DARE!


Uh oh, it looks like he has a lazer, maybe he uses the other character's moveset, lookit the size of that thing!


A group of primids

The primids are commanded by the ancient minister (Who I think is meta-knight)



And if their plan succeeds?

















Actually, it turns out that the Primids are just a generic enemy. I thought I was onto something... :(

Clearly, this is the new villian in Brawl's story mode. Since we don't know his name yet, I say we call him: Goo-Man. It seems to fit.

Also, I would be a bit more specific in the thread's title. Something like: "New Mystery Character Revealed".

Yup, a minion, wouldn't be THE main villain, he'd be an underling.
Or even some hindering annoyance throughout the game.
Master Hand should return, but I think there needs to be a greater evil, stronger than him, stronger than Giga Bowser.
This guy looks like a heartless and Bomberman's offspring.

also lets not forget that in the picture they appear THREE of them:

this may be the new Wireframe-type guys of SSBB
OR minions of Metaknight

It's obvious that he's merely an underling since he apparently is formed or comes out of a concentrated patch of that purple stuff and 2 other patches can be seen in the back to his left and right thus suggesting that his is merely 1 of a generic race of enemy.

Edit: Oops I was too late ;(

It is worthy to note that the purple stuff looks like Ing possession bubbles from Metroid Prime 2?

Probably just a coincidence.

Wow. Good eye Y34HDUD3!!! (and thanks to Kidsmash for pointing it out as well) Clearly, these are the new generic enemies threatening "Trophy World". I wouldn't worry though. I don't think a million of those pushovers could stand against the combined might of Mario, Link, Samus Aran, Solid Snake, ect.

Notice the Hands he looks like he is from a lego series ironically, But they will likly have the Master Hand as a Final Boss for at least one of the modes, its that or The Master himself since they have shown us both of his hands (Crazy & Master). It does look a bit like the sandbag I agree with that, but I guess we can mostly wait to be able to hear what it is, although I wonder what its moveset is?

It could be Meta Knights minions, the reason?
Look the hands, they definately look like his.
Either that or the replacement of Fighting Polygon Team / Fighting Wire Frames

I would agree, and if you look back at the site you can see Metaknights ship, I forgot that was a possibility, meaning the stadium could have been owned by MetaKnight?

Who knows? I mean, it could be any of your sugestions, we'll have to wait past the weekend to find out.

Or not. Sakurai has been veeeeerrrry mysterious. That black background oozed mystery! We may have to wait a week or a month before we find out what in the world he was talking about...

I like him. I like his design. Other than that, I'm not making any assumptions like many people already have, seeing as how the majority of you will probably end up being wrong.

True, the speculation will probably end up horribly wrong. But hey, how else are we going to spend out time if not with random speculation?
However... the fact that there are multiple clumps does indicate that there are multiple of these guys, and that seems clear enough that I'm just going to work on that assumption.
Thank goodness- I think his design isn't really interesting enough to be the game's main villain. For such a creepy storyline, seems they could have made this little dude a little creepier, instead of looking like all those things everyone else said about bomberman/sandbag etc.

... maybe in this thread people could send in drawings etc. of what they'd make that dude look like, while keeping the general dark feeling?

Do you guys think he'd be unlockable at some point? I'd say yes, just because he doesn't really look overpowered to me and he seems the right size for a normal character.
The Super Smash Bros. series is a significant series of its own right- I think it's not unreasonable for them to include their own creations in the games. Think they'll be adding other characters of their own creation?

I'd like him to be unlockable but there is one thing that has my attention...

The red string on his head I think he might be Master Hands Puppet. That doesn't mean he won't be playable

yeah, Nintendo (kinda) did that with the Gameboy camera (on a space invaders-esque game, you could take a picture of yourself and that could be the boss... So it could happen!

ya definetly like a replacement for the polygons, i bet the leader person is the person who controls both hands, master and crazy. The only thing wrong with that idea is judging from the opening to the original smash bros i always thought it was a litttle boy with gloves playing with his toys XD

The Master, could be debatable what he looks like, but yes I think this time it is one person who controls both hands, thats the next step, they have both... It will be the Bongo-Bongo-esq.
He does look like a minion to be, he is too thin and sqwarnny to be a villian really. my only real comment to say is that, what is the Dark stuff around him, my guess is we wont know unit we get the game.

i think its a puppet as some1 said before, at first glance it looks like a demented deformed vacuum but when u look at it again and consider the basis of the game i relized it could be like i paper bag turned into like a puppet. Something like a 5 year old kid brought in for show and tell XD. and the 5 year old kid made it with his master hand D=

=/ they dont look much like mii's to me, i think maybe another maybe co-leader of this is metabat. In the first movie they released didnt they confirm meta bat while on that ship/stage? plus the ship looks an awesful lot like him, so mayb they have to do with kirby,...square gumballs o.o
