I hate Snipers in TF2... They take so little skill, and they end up being really obnoxious and picking me off in the middle of an epic firefight between me and someone else...

Like I'm killing everyone with my super-awesome battlemedic skills (I kill heavies with my battlemedic... Head-on too), and some *** sniper just points at me for one shot to kill me as I go for the last hit...

Snipers suck!!! They take no skill in nearly any game!
Sir, Snipers are professionals. They're the highest class fighter in FPS games like that. Sniping like that is true battle skill and knowledge. These dudes probably pick these points to snipe at on the maps because they know that area has the hotspots like the ones you run into and die in. :3

Also snipers may wear diapers, but we get all the ladies! XD

Dajayman you have good taste in anime ^.^
Great minds think a like. :)

Meh, I think M2K got paid by someone to take a fall. I'd do it as well TBH if I would end up getting more money that way (really I'm pretty sure the payment for this stuff is next to nothing except for a few certain people).
Conspiracy theories??! Come on...
Who's gonna pay him, The Illuminati??

Also.... Happy Holidays!

@dajay, it's not that I don't know the Snipers to be there... In fact, I move to the most concealed areas on the map for a reason, and if I see a sniper I move out to the other side of the map to avoid them (keeping watch of common sniper outposts all the time). TF2 sniping goes like this:

The noobs who can't aim and just charge up the default gun (150-175 damage each shot, meaning instakill for any class that isn't heavy, soldier, pyro, or demo... Spy w/ dead ringer doesn't count).
The good Snipers that actually get headshots (lots of these... I always pick areas that my head isn't easy to see... And if it is, I find A place with cover and 1-shot them with a flare as pyro/spam arched needles/launch stickies/launch grenades/take vantage point with rocket jump and destroy. The last one is my favorite)
The pro Snipers who know exactly how much charge is needed for each shot on the head and rarely miss (I've only had a couple probs with these guys)
And the Lucksman Snipers (freaking arrow-spamming nubs that luckily pick off 150 due to lag not allowing my airblast to properly reflect stuff!)

Wherever you heard that, you probably should've said not to be quoted on that. Either way, M2K apologized, and if you ask me, I don't think it was really any of MLGs business what M2K plans on doing with earned money. It's unfortunate, really. Anyway, the next time someone plans on doing a split, hopefully they'll keep it to themselves and save it after whatever tournament happens.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!
:):)
xD
Merry Christmas, Eagleye.

"Brawl" and "technical skill" should never be used in the same sentence.

But honestly, even with aim assist, it takes skill to shoot people.
It does take skill to shoot people. But what I believe he means is that that's pretty much all you do in a FPS.

brawl anyone?
I would play, but my controller is out of whack.

Pshaw. Snipers don't wear diapers. I like sniper weapons in games, just like I do in reality. I haven't used my air rifle in a long time.

Merry Christmas everyone!!
Merry Christmas, yo!

My only controller is about to bite the dust soon, it's power cord is ripped and all the wires are all exposed. :/

It lasted pretty long though, I bought it used in '07.

Are any of you wrapping your controller correctly? You're not supposed to wrap the wire around the controller. You take the starting point of the wire [which is near the top of the controller] and you wrap the wire around the back and palm of your hand. After that, you slip your hand out and viola! Your controller doesn't have to worry about being strained.

Iowa should try to make it to SiiS4. :)
Iowa tries to make it to a bunch of OoS tourneys but we lack drivers who are dedicated to the game so we don't get too T.T

However a friend of mine is getting a car this summer and once he does him and I are going to pretty much go to any OoS tourney ^.^

I actually learned to do this way back with my Nintendo controller and I just have done it ever since.

Dajay, what i mean for fps is that you don't do anything in an fps except shoot people and run shouting "HOLY **** HOLY **** IM GONNA DIE." Anyone can play those games, it takes a certain level of skill but no where near what fighting games like brawl or tekken do. See with an fps, you don't have to read your opponent's strategy and utterly destroy their few weaknesses, you just guess where they are and then shoot them. I just think that it's stupid for mlg to have games that don't take nearly as much effort and the point of it is to just be lucky and kill as many people as possible in a time limit? Thats like playing free for all in brawl lol. But think about it, how many major league/olympic sports don't take a lot of effort and/or have the need for you to figure out what your opponent is doing and capitalize on it? fps games don't really do that aside from guessing and seeing the failure of knowledge.

oh and merry 1day after christmas you guys.

In Brawl and Tekken, all you have to do is guess what your opponent will do and block / grab / attack.

No Melee option? Lame.

But in all seriousness, wow, did not expect Gears of War to be in the lead, and Brawl to have more than a few votes.

^My brain is dead and my neck aches....

too much activity for three days, even if I got an adequate amount of sleep for all of them....

I did shoddily everywhere.... I can't accurately judge anything.

If I weren't being an idiot (and it weren't wifi) I would say ganon isn't that great and jiggz is good.... but the thing about the jiggz is that I apparently jump into everything that you do without attempting to guard...

^ I FREAKING HATE WIFI!!! IT MAKES ME JUMP AND NOT INPUT AN AERIAL, THEN NEVER INPUT THE AERIAL THAT I INPUT AS BACKUP!!! BASICALLY, WHATEVER I WANT IT TO DO IT'S JUST LIKE "Nope.avi"

Dude tell me about Wifi ****ing up things, I can't thunderstomp with Ganon or use Falcon's 2 auto cancel things on Wifi for starters and I pretty much never mean to use PK Fire as well in my general things because for starters I'm a PKT guy (oh and lets not talk about the other things I can't do that well as Ness offline that really show up on Wifi). Yeah the only thing I enjoyed was that after a while most of my PKTs are trying to be blanks when firing them, thankfully I can still do that on wifi to a point.

I hate PKT on wifi, and that unfortunately translates to me using PKT less offline too. I definitely need to use PKT more offline and just ignore it on wifi.

pkt just flat out doesnt work on wifi, and will often go screwy when trying to recover with it. overall, wifi is just crappy, but it is a lot better practice than computers for a few things:
-playing against an actual opponent
-seeing how they react to what you do
-getting better at reading them

PKT recovery is doable for me in wifi because I have it completely memorized in my muscle memory. Only way I could possibly mess up PKT recovery is if there are lag spikes.
