Why is it ok for him to spam pk fire on me and get 80% from literally spamming side b. I could not move at all and it was ridiculous. Am I DI wrong or is his side B that good that it chain stuns you forever

you're wrong, the belmonts have a better "PK fire," where it's like impossible to SDI out of it. Ness allowsyou to SDI (rapidly hitting the control stick in the direction you would like to go), so doing that as your percent climbs will help a lot.

also, it's pretty laggy and easily jumped over.

Literally just jump or shield lol. Are you not good enough at the game to press shield if you know he is spamming it? Nothing aggravates me more than someone mindlessly begging for something to be nerfed rather than getting better at the game. Grow up.

Pretty sure he's not asking for nerfs...

PK Fire is rather predictable than insanely fast if you have quick reflexes. As previously said: Jump, shield or tech to avoid it. You do get a bit of time to act upon Ness as he throws the bolt.

Well if you literally read what I said I tried shielding and you can’t do anything about it. It locks you end until you’re at 80% which is ridiculous. How is spamming a move and getting free damage acceptable?

Excuse me? What do you you mean you “can’t do anything about it”? If you shield the first hit, boom, the pk fire is gone. Or you could also try this technique calling “jumping” which lets you go straight to the ness and punish them. Since they are “spamming it” you should obviously see it coming. Pk fire is incredible at punishing low skill players (you), who are absolutely incapable of adapting. Git gud.

PK Fire is easy to DI out of. If you’re getting hit with it over and over again you’re definitely doing something wrong. It’s a fair move in Ness’s kit and it’s easy to play around. If you’re getting punished with PK Fire you’re either playing a good Ness who is outspacing and outreading you or you’re jumping into it and not DIing. You have a shield and a jump button, use them. I’m a Ness main and I use PK Fire but rarely and I use the rest of my kit much more. Learn the matchup and learn how to DI before crying nerf. Ness actually has far better moves than PK Fire (PK Thunder) and I’ve never seen a high level player complain about PK Fire

PK fire is very frustrating, I agree. Though it is quite easy to dodge; I believe you can even react to it, making it pretty weak unless it hits. In this case, SDI up and away and try to jump out. This is harder as big characters, as they have a very large hitbox.

If you're caught by two or more PK fires in a row, it becomes increasingly easier to get out since it will gradually keep knocking you out of it's range.

FOR CRYING OUT LOUD PEOPLE AT LEAST ATTEMPT TO LEARN HOW TO PLAY AND DI FIRST!!!

Seriously every other day I’m seeing some casual player screaming “nerf this!” Or “nerf that!” The game has barely been out for very long, quit having knee jerk reactions and screaming for nerfs on anything that you, as an individual, are struggling against, while most other players aren’t having any issues learning how to do with these things. Accept you were outplayed by an opponent and move on.

Please do not create rant threads. If you have a problem with a certain character, ask how to counter or punish moves in either your character subforum's match up thread or the other character's. Thanks.
