so heres what im wondering. i want my togekiss to be a tank due to its high defenses. here i have its attacks:

roost
follow me
nasty plot
baton pass

this togekiss is mostly for double battles because of follow me and baton pass but it could work for me in single battles. i looked up smogon and they suggested 252HP/64SPDEF/192SPD but im not so sure about this set. can anyone give me some suggestions? thank you.

Togekiss without flinchax, herasy!
my point for it is for togekiss to attract attacks to itself while one of my pokemon, say salamence for instance, boosts itself with dragon dance and then sweep. i want to draw attacks away from my sweepers.

That's a pretty solid set. You'll need to hammer out a good EV spread and nature.

You could try Thunder Wave and Air Slash over Nasty Plot and Baton Pass.

Considering both Togekiss and Salamence are weak to Ice-type attacks, I'm not so sure this will help you very much. However, I'm not at all familiar with the doubles metagame, so I don't know how relevant things like Blizzard or the like might be.

Wait, Salamence? Unless you've got a Yache Berry on it (actually, I take that back, TWO Yache Berries), it's a bad idea. A simple combination of Abomasnow and Mewtwo / Palkia / Glaceon / Pory-Z destroys you.

salamence will have a yache berry. togekiss will have leftovers. and if its not a good idea, whats an alternative instead of togekiss?

You basically have four options.

1. Hope you don't see any Abomasnow
2. Give Togekiss HP Fire and Salamence Flamethrower
3. Switch Togekiss for the slightly less bulky Clefable
4. Switch Salamence for Groudon / other Pokémon.

Number 1 won't work too well, especially if you're playing VGC style (are you playing VGC style?).
Number 2 isn't optimal, since some Pokémon might carry a Scarf.
Number 3 is kind of bad, since Clefable can't do much.
Number 4 is probably best. Salamence has to rely on Dragon Claw to actually hit stuff, which is weak compared to Outrage, which targets a random opponent. Metagross is pretty good, especially if you give Togekiss Protect, so you can Explode at will.

I don't think the Togekiss is really the huge issue, it's having two Pokemon weak to Ice. Blizzard would seriously destroy you.

I recommend trying someone different instead of Salamence...are you looking for a special sweeper, physical sweeper or just someone to go well with Togekiss?

I want help with me+ my GF's Togekiss set.

Togekiss @ BrightPowder/ Leftovers/ Metronome
Serene Grace: Timid
252 HP, 4 Defense, 252 Speed
Air Slash
Substitute
Roost
Thunder Wave

Very hard to destroy, and very easy to set up. We use our with Toxic Spikes support. With Toxic Spikes you can hit problematic pokemon such as Blissey and other ground types, and with thunder wave you hit the pokemon that are immune to them(mence, Dos, Scizor, Forretress, Rotom).

Well, Togekiss has a very diverse movepool and good stats as well. Because of Togekiss's great ability, Serene Grace, I recommend this great moveset:

♦ Togekiss @Leftovers/ Life Orb
• Body Slam/ Thunder Wave
• Air Slash
• Roost/ Flamethrower
• Aura Sphere
