I'll get straight to the point: I pressed the power button on my Wii this morning, and it didn't turn on. The light on the button was orange, but it didn't start up; I couldn't even turn it on with my wiimotes. This is all so sudden, because my system worked fine yesterday (btw, it's on v3.4; I never updated my Wii after that). I tinkered with the HBC yesterday, and I think what I did might've bricked my Wii, but I'm not sure. Here's what I did yesterday, if it helps:

-updated the homebrew browser twice (apparently I had a really old version)
-updated the entire homebrew channel
-downloaded the ONScripter Graphic Novel Engine (contains no stories)
-downloaded the SNES9x emulator (haven't used it yet)
-played on Brawl+ code set 4.1

I think these might have something to do with the problem, because they're the last things I did before I turned my Wii off last night. Maybe the updates and/or new apps did something? I didn't investigate further than trying to turn the system on, in case I might've screwed something up. So what could be wrong?

Also, if there's a better place where I can post this, please tell me. Thanks in advance :).

I know this might sound obvious but sometimes people forget to try the most obvious things... Have you tried unplugging the wii's power cable? I had the same problem once, the light was orange and I couldnt turn it on with wii motes or by pressing the power button. Unplugging the cable worked for me. Maybe we have a different problem but try it anyway :p

Try to do what Lemon? said, It usually works.
If you get it to turn on again, I suggest you install bootmii
Bootmii lets you backup your wii in case it gets bricked so if your wii gets bricked, bootmii can save it. However, if your wii is already bricked, It's too late.

I did. My Wii is on, everything is plugged in, but there is no picture on TV (and it is on the right setting). I can't even synchronize the remotes. Am I doing something wrong?

Meh. I'll save this thread in my "Favorites" and try again later. If still nothing, I'm gonna' have to call Nintendo. This really doesn't make sense. :(

@walter01: Hopefully it won't come to that. If I get it working and get BootMii, I can still safely enjoy homebrew. But I won't be able to get at my Wii until later tonight, so I'm not sure if it's really okay or not.
