Need help for organizing a Brawl tourney

Hey guys,

I'm planning a brawl tournament in Bahrain but I have absolutely NO IDEA on where to begin. The only thing I've done so far is get a list of sponsors who will get the materials needed for a tournament.

Speaking of the game itself...

Do I need some kind of permission from the Nintendo Headquarters to actually use the game for a public matter?

Who/What/When/Where/Why/How?

Any advice would be appreciated!

Note: I am reading the stickies as well, but any advice that already isn't there would help.

I'm no expert a TOing, but I do know that you don't have to get in touch with Nintendo itself to run a Brawl tournament.

I say plan it on a weekend around noon, that's usually the best time to.

Your answer definitely took a load off my shoulders. It would be so lame having to get permission from Nintendo.

I'm thinking this tourney will be medium sized (Slightly less than 100 people). Anyone have any info on what elimination type i should use? Like round robin/double/single whatever?
