FYI, the venue I had in mind would cost me about 6-7,000 for the three days bucks so unless I A) raise the door fee to absurd levels or B) get a sponsor it ain't happenin`.

Door fee is worth it, but only if you can get BIG word and hype out there and be confident that it's going to get almost as much attention as massive things like Pound/Genesis.

Sponsors - could be tough, but you/we can ask around at places like Play N' Trades, gaming places like Gamefrog, etc, and see if they would be interested in sponsoring.

291 people dividing a 7000 dollar door fee is...24.05 dollars. You mean to suggest that 291 people pay a 25$ door fee?

7000 dollars is extreme for a venue fee PLUR. Most definitely look somewhere else.

1) Please remove me from the Raleigh list (I'm listed as Theo: Tag IV) and place me on the Durham list (list me as CrystalNite)

2) There are many events coming up and I need to plan for them, so to get this straight, the events I currently know of are:

TO5 (to which I will not be going) this weekend 9/5
Duke Biweeklies starting on 9/12
BILLFEST!!! on 9/19
Appalachian on 10/3 (i think this is too far)
Octoberfest on 10/10 for which I will be praying for you all
Master Cup! [11/21]

This is relevant because I think the first post should be updated with a comprehensive list of this information along with major OOS tournies. I'd be willing to make a thread with this and more i.e. threads started to coordinate rides and individual tourney threads/results threads all in one list but...

I missed the 1st one because the 2nd Billfest was my first Melee tourney ever. I missed another one that you were at because it was my sister's birthday...
