Names in saved replays?

So I was going through some of the saved replays that I have on my Wii and on one of the matches I was watching the names were above each characters head instead of just "P1", "P2", etc. In all of the other videos there aren't any names, just "P1", "P2" and so on. So now I'm wondering, why are the names saved on one of the replays but not any of the others?

Replays you saved while the "Tags in Replay" code was still active retain their gamertags. If you save a replay when the code was never active or noone had a gamertag present at the time, you only see "P1"/"P2." I think, thats how it goes.

Is it your replay? IF someone who had the code sent it to you, the tags would still be saved, if I recall right.

As said for the millionth time, the only way you could have a replay with names in it is if you had the "Tags in Replays" code on while you saved that specific replay. The names stay even if you have the code off but only for that replay.

There's the culprit. You probably downloaded one of the brawl sets that had nametags in replays on.
