When I joined this website, I loved the fact that I can use my fat to get a quick laugh from people, anyone. But, during the course of the summer, I decided it was enough. I was 15, 5 foot 10 and 205 pounds. That's not healthy, and the redicule was getting to me emotionally. In laments terms, I was tired of everybody's bs. It was time to lose the weight.
So, after two or three years of telling myself that, I went through self doubt in my head: "You'll just do the same thing as last time!" "Why even bother? You'll never lose the weight!". So, I took a different approach: Instead of trying to get my lazy a** up to do the P90X or Insanity exercise videos, I decided to watch what I ate. It was one of the best things to ever happen to me.
It was so simple: Instead of getting bored, and deciding to eat, I decided to tell myself, "No. I'm going to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I don't need snacks. And I don't need soda". This was an ENORMOUS change for me, as I'm used to constantly stuffing my face with whatever's in plain sight. I planned on doing this for the next month, when school was getting ready to start.
School starts.
I'm now 6 foot, and 190 pounds. When I saw the scale the day before school, I nearly cried. I felt so accomplished. And I look so much better. Girls are on me now
, and everything's so much better. I'd never do this to myself again. And it was so worth the work.
