Your missing a nature on Mamoswine, but I'll just assume it's jolly.

The onlt things I can even remotely suggest would be moving the four HP EVs to defense on Gyarados, just in case that they have SR out, you take no damage any other way. you can switch in four instead of three times. With your style of play, this probably won't make a difference, But i have to nitpick something

Deoxys-s is banned, and since he isn't threatening your team as much(read: never), I think you might be able to drop Pursuit on Metagross. with what is beyond me, tbh, but it's just a suggestion. still good for gengar I guess.

it's not EVd to live 2 LO shadowballs, you're totally correct. I thought of this before I read your post, but thanks for confirming what I started with.

I'm assuming you forgot Brick Break on Salamence.

On mence I would suggest you at least *try* a Hasty nature since Intimidate covers your physical weakness and it forces them away as they try to prey on your lower sp def, or what they would normally expect to be your lower defense. But I guess it's up to preference.

Also try EQ over SE.

I've been finding BB less and less useful, partially because dual screeners are less common in DS play (does shoddy mimic this thend atm?) and partially because I'm finding fewer Blisseys. Not that my team gives a **** about Blissey in the first place, but those 2 reasons are the only meaningful uses of BB, IMO anyway. Same @ Crunch to the noticeably fewer psychics/ghosts/ sans latias/gengar, both of which outspeed me.

I run naive over hasty so I can have a perfect mence - hasty demands a 30 def IV as well, so I'm just being OCD there. The other reason is that I proactively use double switching as a means to layer attack drops, so getting a couple extra usage out of it is nice here and there. I considered both naive and hasty heavily for mence/ape.

what I'm most concerned about actually is Gyarados. while I've had this set since forever, it seems to have become dangerously standard (which I usually disfavor). I'm also seeing more use of Vaporeon and Celebi. I don't have enough balls to run the Bounce variant yet.

i particularly like the typing of the team. its spread out well

theres so little special attack on this team :( it makes blisseys cry

though yea as u mentioned in ur last post, its sort of a standardish team.

edit: why does ur salamence only have 3 moves

There isn't a single super effective move to defeat water types. I guess Chomp and Mence could just overpower them, but they already overpower everything. I think Salamence should learn Hydro Pump. If you want a fighting attack on it that's not Brick Break, you could replace it with a Dragonite that knows Super Power. Tyranitar isn't doing a lot of hurt with no SpA EVs. That max HP isn't doing a lot when it doesn't know Substitute.

ttar w/ no investment, neutral nature and expert belt OHKOs chomp gliscor flygon salamence dragonite and scizor, 2HKOs forretress skarmory and many others. the HP EVs also let me survive many things, such as most CB dugtrio EQ, scizor CB bullet punch, +1 att mence outrage, etc. the extra HP goes a long way.

I would like to see how a defensive-heavy teams deals with yours. and by that I mean physical defense..... as you barely have any special offensive moves on your entire team, and Draco-Mence and Mixnape (surprised at no Grass Knot, over SR- it rocks bulky waters that like switching into Infernape- did you consider it?) are kinda expected.

Your team is kinda what I expected from reading your posts- It seems like a rather offensive generic team :ohwell:

Hows your record with this team? I feel like its no deserving of more than a 80% rating, as it totally lacks any defensive thoughts, other than a few EVs- no true defensive pokemon or sets.

the biggest problem I have on the team is Trick Room or bulky waters and a few special baton pass variants. The last team I fought had empoleon, suicune and swampert and I won 5-0 though so it's not too bad, it's just more troublesome relative to everything else.

my current record with this team, this version so far is 63-0 on DS since I finished it very recently. I've been playing a lot. The team over all 3 versions since july 2007 is 262-2-1-1 (lol). The only guy I've lost to and tied with plays me all the time so he knows my team as well as I do (and how to fight it).

Ye I could see how trick room and bulky waters could be a pain- gotta ask though, why LeadNape over Mixnape? It doesnt really mesh with your team as is...... And a Mixnape with Grass Knot could draw out bulky waters, and give you a simple solution to them.

Just my thoughts.

What are the tournament rules for the actual D/P tourneys?

I was pretty confused to see a Garchomp on your team. However, I really like that Sleep Talk set.

Assuming your thinking "this team has a problem with bulky waters" like I think you do, your dead wrong.

This team works off of a "continuous offense": it doesn't let up and uses common team statistics to take advantage. This involves double-switching with limited information on the opponent's team and continuous attacking. Bulky waters may try to come into Gyarados but find themselves in a predicament with Taunt stopping all recovery. Salamence lols at waters with Draco Meteor, and in general the team hits hard enough so that with SR and SS anything that trys to come in directly gets shut down instantly. It really is a lot based off assumtions and does require a deadly learning-curve to get used to, but as you spend time on it you figure out exactly how opponents react to certain pokemon, meaning you can gain the quick advantage in momentum with an early-switch.

Mia, I changed my mind. Take back your Gible and instead of "YAMATO" name it "GARCHOMPo"

Edit: and then give him back

Edit2: please =3

I really like how you have little counters for any tricks your opponent might pull on you.

Infernape - powerful sweepers or walls
Gyrados- stallers/ stat uppers
Meta- lum berry to eat status
Chomp - sleep talk

That's very clever. I hope I'm as good as you are some day >_>.

:yoshi: As usual, very very solid team.

It's a shame that it seems as if Heracross won't be too effective for the new format (from what I've seen), but when I make some breakthroughs on finding the perfect Heracross, I'd like to try my new team on you when I get the chance. :D

Just as a quick question, though, are Vaporeon and Zapdos out of the mix for the new format? Just wondering if you have any immediate answers to those guys, since it looks like they *may* cause trouble.

vaporeon actually gives my team more trouble than any other pokemon. I don't even have problems with suicune anymore. zapdos isn't that big of a problem though.
