So now that some players have dropped out and their types are no longer in use, I've decided to try out their types for myself. Here's what I have

MONO-GRASS

Jumpluff@Heat Rock
Timid/Chlorophyll
252HP/252Spe/4Def
-Sunny Day
-Memento
-Sleep Powder
-Stun Spore/Leech Seed

My lead, a Suicide Sunny Dayer. The idea is to get sunny day up, be faster than everything in the entire game and try and bother as much of the other team as possible. Sleep one thing, stun another and then harshly drop the stats of something and give myself a free switch in. Leech Seed is for when im using this team on ladder as it has often been useful to gain back some health on my switch in.

Tangrowth@Life Orb
Naive/Chlorophyll
200Atk/80SpAtk/228Spe
-Power Whip
-Rock Slide
-HP Fire
-Earthquake

Moderately Mixed Mojonbo, and screw ancient power. I honestly believe smogon only has it on the mixed set so it can have more than one special attack. Rock Slide on this thing is awesome as with the speed boost in the sun it can really get some use out of the flinch rate.

Exeggutor@Choice Specs/Life Orb
Modest/Chlorophyll
252SpAtk/252Spe/4Hp
-Solar Beam
-Energy Ball
-HP Ice
-Psychic/Ancient Power

It may seem odd to run Specs on this but honestly, the huge power combined with huge speed is just plain awesome. Energy Ball+Solar Beam is because if im using this on ladder I can't just start throwing out Solar Beams as TTar would love to come in and wall me and he really doesn't like a choice specs Energy Ball. Psychic vs Ancient Power depends on what Im doing with this set. Psychic itself doesn't have amazing type coverage, but lends itself well to choice specs and can deal with threats like Infernape and Heracross who otherwise wall me, however Ancient Power works well with Life Orb as the chance for an all stat increase is just too good to pass up.

Celebi@Leftovers
Jolly/Natural Cure
178HP/80Atk/252Spe
-Swords Dance
-Baton Pass
-Seed Bomb
-Zen Headbutt

Yeah, it's SD passing Celebi, you got a problem with that? Max speed because it's max speed.

Sceptile@Choice Band
Jolly/Overgrow
252Atk/252Spe/4Hp
-Leaf Blade
-Dragon Claw
-Earthquake
-Brick Break

I pass SD's to a choice bander. I tend to try and pass it an SD while absorbing a hit that will put it in the Overgrow health area as an 800+ attack stat plus overgrow Leaf Blade hurts everything alot.

Shaymin@Heat Rock
Bold/Natural Cure
252Hp/78Def/180SpDef
-Sunny Day
-Seed Flare
-Earth Power
-Synthesis

Something bulky that can run Sunny Day, I went with this guy. Seed Flare is awesome even without serene grace and synthesis gets a boost to 75% under sun.

MONO-FIRE

Rapidash@Heat Rock
Jolly/Flash Fire
252Atk/252Spe/4Hp
-Sunny Day
-Flare Blitz
-Megahorn
-Iron Tail

Mono-Fire REALLY likes having sun on it's side. I chose Rapidash as a lead as it learns Megahorn, which can 2HKO Lead TTar that tries to set up Stealth Rocks thinking I'll switch.

Infernape@Wide Lens
Jolly/Blaze
252Atk/252Spe/4Hp
-Swords Dance
-Close Combat
-Blaze Kick
-Stone Edge

Unlike most SDape's this one doesn't rely on Close Combat as it's main form of attack as Blaze Kick under the sun has (slightly)more power. Wide Lense over anything else because missing is gay like brawl.

Typhlosion@Choice Specs
Timid/Blaze
252SpAtk/252Spe/4Hp
-Eruption
-Overheat
-HP Ice
-Focus Blast

I 2HKO'd a Latias Switch in with this thing. I <3 typh so much.

Moltres@Leftovers
Bold/Pressure
248Hp/148Def/112SpDef
-Roost
-Substitute
-Toxic
-Flamethower

Oh how I wish I could use HP Ice on this instead of toxic :( Unfortunately my team has little to no ways around certain water like pokemon so Toxic is where it's at.

Heatran@Leftovers
Modest/Flash Fire
252SpAtk/252Spe/4Hp
-Substitute
-Fire Blast
-Earth Power
-Toxic

Toxic Stall Heatran > Scarftran, always. Comes in with ease and scares **** off giving it a chance to set up a sub. From there it's all a matter of stalling and letting the poison do the work.

Arcanine@Life Orb
Jolly/Flash Fire
252Atk/252Spe/4Hp
-Howl
-Extreme Speed
-Flare Blitz
-Iron Head

Because apparently SD Arcanine is illegal or something. Iron Head over Thunder Fang because **** tyranitar.

I have a mono-ghost team as well, but I can't post them now as I must go to work :(

MONO-GHOST

Drifblim@Focus Sash
Timid/Unburden
252Hp/252Spe/4Def
-Stock Pile
-Baton Pass
-Shadow Ball
-Hypnosis

Lead Drifblim, made to pass stockpiles. I've been thinking of switching the EV's to 252SpAtk/252Spe/4Hp to actually lower my defenses to activate the Focus Sash and unburden making it easier to pass.

Spiritomb@Leftovers
Bold/Pressure
252HP/252Def/4SpDef
-Calm Mind
-Dark Pulse
-HP Fire
-Rest

First recipient of Stockpile, Spiritomb becomes stupid hard to kill with +1 in both defenses and with his ever increasing SpDef he becomes hella walrus. Calm Mind up and rest off damage, if there's something I can't kill, I can pressure stall it. HP Fire because SD scizor is still dangerous to this set.(Thinking of changing to HP Fighting to cover TTar)

Dusknoir@Leftovers
Adamant/Pressure
252Hp/252Atk/4Def
-Substitute
-Focus Punch
-Fire Punch
-Sucker Punch

Other possible recipient of Stockpile, Dusknoir is a bit more of straight up sweeper. With stockpile it hits 459 in both defenses and Base 100 Attack is nothing to hold your nose at, especially with the unresisted Fighting/Dark/Fire combination(Fighting/Dark is only resisted by Heracross and Toxicroak)

Gengar@Life Orb
Timid/Levitate
252SpAtk/252Spe/4Hp
-Shadow Ball
-Energy Ball
-HP Ice
-Thunderbolt

yeeeeeeeeeep. It's gengar.

Rotom-H@Light Clay
Bold/Levitate
252Hp/78Def/180SpDef
-Reflect
-Light Screen
-Overheat
-Shadowball

If the first Stockpile pokemon dies it's always nice to have another way to get those defense boosts, which is why this guy is here. Thunderbolt omitted because honestly, i doesn't afraid of water types.

Mismagius@Life Orb
Timid/Levitate
252SpAtk/252Spe/4Hp
-Substitute
-Calm Mind
-HP Fighting
-Shadow Ball

Meh, filler mostly.

ummm...ok

your tangrowth killed my honchkrow, and your moltres stalled out 2 of my teams. Momento on Jumpluff..... i dont totally understand it, but ok. Your Sceptile does absurd damage. Toxi-stalling with 2 fire pokemon... is crazy? Its a great thought, and it seems to work, kudos to you.

Arcanine and Wide Lens im 'eh" on, but if it works for you.

Good**** teams.

Your Fire Team was good, but I guess Rock has the advantage.

Don't get me started on that Grass team, it's very, very good.

I agree with the above two. That grass team was VERY nice.

And even if I was running a ridiculously horrid team (which I've gotten rid of, btw) when facing your fire team, you still made me hate Moltres.

Like seriously. Every time I've seen a Moltres since then I just think "AH ****. Here we go again." Yours is the only one that I actually should have feared though, so major kudos to you just for that. And I didn't really see the rest of your team in battle, but the sets at least look pretty legit, so I give you more kudos.

what, no encore? iono, seems like a good lead besides that. but seriously, consider encore over memento.

Tangrowth@Life Orb
Naive/Chlorophyll
200Atk/80SpAtk/228Spe

-Rock Slide
-HP Fire
-Earthquake

What does it outsped, or rather what speed does it hit?

Exeggutor@Choice Specs/Life Orb

-HP Ice
-Psychic/Ancient Power

<3 I would go Psychic, just to hit those **** Infernapes.

Celebi@Leftovers
Jolly/Natural Cure
178HP/80Atk/252Spe
-Swords Dance
-Baton Pass
-Seed Bomb
-Zen Headbutt

Yeah, it's SD passing Celebi, you got a problem with that? Max speed because it's max speed.

OMG ITS THE SET I USE.[b/]

Sceptile@Choice Band
Jolly/Overgrow
252Atk/252Spe/4Hp

-Earthquake
-Brick Break

I pass SD's to a choice bander. I tend to try and pass it an SD while absorbing a hit that will put it in the Overgrow health area as an 800+ attack stat plus overgrow Leaf Blade hurts everything alot.
SD pass to a CBer? You are crazy. Maybe give it Life Orb instead?

Shaymin@Heat Rock

-Sunny Day
-Seed Flare
-Earth Power
-Synthesis

Something bulky that can run Sunny Day, I went with this guy. Seed Flare is awesome even without serene grace and synthesis gets a boost to 75% under sun.
Fine

This team works so well, that I almost forgot it was mono-grass. 0RLy, are you paying attention?
But you seem to have a Scarftran/Scarfape weakness lol. iono why.

MONO-FIRE

Rapidash@Heat Rock
Jolly/Flash Fire
252Atk/252Spe/4Hp
-Sunny Day
-Flare Blitz
-Megahorn
-Iron Tail

Mono-Fire REALLY likes having sun on it's side. I chose Rapidash as a lead as it learns Megahorn, which can 2HKO Lead TTar that tries to set up Stealth Rocks thinking I'll switch.
Fine. Watch out for those EQing Bronzong lol. Or anything that EQs.

-Close Combat
-Blaze Kick
-Stone Edge

Unlike most SDape's this one doesn't rely on Close Combat as it's main form of attack as Blaze Kick under the sun has (slightly)more power. Wide Lense over anything else because missing is gay like brawl.

Good. Missing is gay though. It (and me not looking over my team first) caused me to lose in ur tourney. twice. WTF.

Typhlosion@Choice Specs
Timid/Blaze
252SpAtk/252Spe/4Hp
-Eruption
-Overheat
-HP Ice
-Focus Blast

I 2HKO'd a Latias Switch in with this thing. I <3 typh so much.
<3

Moltres@Leftovers

-Flamethower

Oh how I wish I could use HP Ice on this instead of toxic :( Unfortunately my team has little to no ways around certain water like pokemon so Toxic is where it's at.
Do you really need flamethrower? lol, all of ur team has fire already.

Heatran@Leftovers
Modest/Flash Fire
252SpAtk/252Spe/4Hp

-Fire Blast
-Earth Power
-Toxic

Toxic Stall Heatran > Scarftran, always. Comes in with ease and scares **** off giving it a chance to set up a sub. From there it's all a matter of stalling and letting the poison do the work.
I hate people that do this to me.

Arcanine@Life Orb

-Extreme Speed
-Flare Blitz
-Iron Head

Because apparently SD Arcanine is illegal or something. Iron Head over Thunder Fang because **** tyranitar.
I really want my Batton pass Blissey **** back lol.

I have a mono-ghost team as well, but I can't post them now as I must go to work :(

I really like both of your teams. They seem so well thought out that I forget that they are mono-typed. good job.

Bump for Mono-ghost team finally added.

Some stuff on these teams may seem odd, but like I told ORly, mono-type teams can't cover all their own weaknesses so attempting to just puts you at a disadvantage. Grass, Fire and to some degree Ghost are very limited teams, so rather than try and do the impossible of covering everything offensively and defensively, I just went with one or the other. Grass can't defend, at all, it has too many common weaknesses, so rather than focus on Defense, I went all out offense. On the other hand, Fire will almost never be able to beat bulky rock types in an offensive battle, so rather than try I went for the "Stall" strategy. Ghost is extremely limited in terms of usable pokemon, so I had to use the good ones well and the poor ones better. Drifblim, in terms of what it would normally do(Passing giant subs) would be rather useless to my team, but by combining focus sash, unburden and Stockpile it manages to actually be extremely usefull.

MONO-GHOST

Drifblim@Focus Sash
Timid/Unburden
252Hp/252Spe/4Def
-Stock Pile
-Baton Pass
-Shadow Ball
-Hypnosis

Lead Drifblim, made to pass stockpiles. I've been thinking of switching the EV's to 252SpAtk/252Spe/4Hp to actually lower my defenses to activate the Focus Sash and unburden making it easier to pass.

Focus Sash doesnt seem right for this set- how about a Petaya to let Spirit hit harder, or a Apicot to let Spirit survive more? I just see him surviving a move or 2.... It seems like an alright set to lead with.

HP fighting over fire, as you said- gives you neutral damage on everything. Im a big fan of pain split, but rest works better with this set.

Dusknoir@Leftovers
Adamant/Pressure
252Hp/252Atk/4Def
-Substitute
-Focus Punch
-Fire Punch
-Sucker Punch

Other possible recipient of Stockpile, Dusknoir is a bit more of straight up sweeper. With stockpile it hits 459 in both defenses and Base 100 Attack is nothing to hold your nose at, especially with the unresisted Fighting/Dark/Fire combination(Fighting/Dark is only resisted by Heracross and Toxicroak)

.... im kinda surprised, i really prefer the bulky dusknoir. Shadow Sneak gets STAB, Priority, and hits regardless of if the person is attacking you or not- put it over Sucker Punch (same priority level, but safer move).

Gengar@Life Orb
Timid/Levitate
252SpAtk/252Spe/4Hp
-Shadow Ball
-Energy Ball
-HP Ice
-Thunderbolt

yeeeeeeeeeep. It's gengar.

I like running energy ball also, but this set needs focus blast. Energy Ball hits for nice on those **** bulky waters, but Focus Blast hits darks and normal for SE damage, and they are your biggest enemies when running a mono-ghost. consider the switch, i understand if you dont though :)

Rotom-H@Light Clay
Bold/Levitate
252Hp/78Def/180SpDef
-Reflect
-Light Screen
-Overheat
-Shadowball

If the first Stockpile pokemon dies it's always nice to have another way to get those defense boosts, which is why this guy is here. Thunderbolt omitted because honestly, i doesn't afraid of water types.

"i doesn't afraid of water types." WOW. i like the set, kinda surprising, but not bad.

Mismagius@Life Orb
Timid/Levitate
252SpAtk/252Spe/4Hp
-Substitute
-Calm Mind
-HP Fighting
-Shadow Ball

Meh, filler mostly.

looks like a filler- and gets slaughtered by a single physical attack :ohwell: still, this is probably the best Magius set to run- I would take WoW over Calm Mind, just because your team is lacking statuses- could save you.
Decent team, surprised @ no Froslass. Your seriously lacking status effects (0), so might wanna consider throwing some in there somewhere. Its a good team, but not as sturdy as your mono-fire, and not as powerful as your mono-grass. Few small questionable things here and there, some stuff that needs to be there- but all in all a good team.

First things first, Drifblim is a suicide passer, a lead made to give it's life to passing a stockpile boost to a pokemon that can use it. There's no point to using a Petaya Berry as this thing almost never attacks. In fact the only time I've found myself attacking is when I knew taunt was coming.

Can't use frosslass as a lead as it destroys the entire point of the Drifblim/Bulky Ghost combo.

Im keeping HP fire on spiritomb as Scizor is the only thing left that really threatens it. It takes a +3 Dark Pulse to 2HKO and a +2 X-Scissor will put me in a very unhappy place(Read: Close to death)

Mismagius info was actually wrong, I got too lazy and didn't put the correct EV's, it's actually running 108 HP/180 SpAtk/ 220 Spe. Works great as a blissey counter for my team and I love it now <3

Sucker Punch > Shadow Sneak. The extra power helps in clutch situations so Im not getting rid of it.

I think you misread most of what i wrote, lol. here is more in depth:

Petaya- only meant to be passed, to give whatever your passing more power. I dont think many common leads are going to be OHKOing him, which means FS is wasted. your call though.

Froslass is a decent option, im surprised you didnt use it, thats all.

Spiritomb gets rocked by some things if you dont go for the neutral coverage that HP Fighting offers- DD Ttar is the first that comes to mind. I guess you just need to choose your poison on this set.

Sucker Punch gives someone the opportunity to set up on you... shadow sneak is guarenteed damage- if someone switches, or uses a status, or does anything but attack, youve wasted a turn. This doesnt happen with Shadow Sneak, and Shadow Sneak is only 20 base power below Sucker Punch after STAB, but i think because they have the same priority, Shadow Sneak is the better choice. Your call, just my 2c.
