I'm still fairly new to the competitive Smash World...I've been playing for about 4 months total, mostly as Marth. I'd really like to improve my Marth game.

I can already see enough of my own mistakes, but I welcome any/all feedback, criticism and flames that you guys may have. Thanks in advance.

Note: You might want to mute the first one...the sound is terribly out of sync.

Nice matches.

First thing I saw was your spacing. You're in attack mode like 95% of the match and rushign in so much.

Secondly, don't forget. Shieldgrab. I saw a few times where you simply blocked a standing hit and rolled/wavedashed away or into a slash.

Lastly, just practice. Your game is good, just needs a bit more speed. I saw a little too much floating.

I agree with TMX on the shieldgrabbing part, but as TMX knows but forgot to mention, don't get carried away with it. Against better players, if you shieldgrab them, you will get punished for it. Nice Marth though, keep up the good work. And like you mentioned...The sound on the first one is kinda weird lol. Keep it up though, and keep practicing.

DI better. The fthrow shouldn't be a chain grab after one throw unless you're DIing wrong. It also seems that you DI right into some of your opponents combos. DI away from your opponent's sword if it isn't a KO move or else you get comboed.

Marth has a great dash dance, use it more. It's great for getting easy grabs.

It's not bad, but keep practicing.

Thanks for the feedback guys...I'll work on my DI and shieldgrabbing. Keep the advice rolling...there's got to be more to Marth than grabs, fairs, and f-smashes. Hah.

Missed some crucial l-cancels. Just be a bit more consistent with those. Also, if you're gonna put your FAir up against his, its all about who gets his out first. Just try to get it out faster, it cost you some oppurtunities. Doing pretty good though, especially for playing for 4 months now.

I honestly LOL'd at myself after reading that. Ironically..it mostly is aside from other basic advanced techniques like L-Cancel, DD and stuff. xD

Marth is so simple, its orgasmic and godly at the same time.

Tmx...I really don't want to know whats orgasmic to you >.<

But yes, marth is simple..but being so simple opens up alot of room for perfecting those simple things.
